I can come up with one for you if we meet up at some point to split some of those Toppling Goliath Brewing stouts that you appear to have easier access to.

    From the BA stout box.

Are the people at the table eating one of their own? Did he commit some transgression against the group? Or did he lose a lottery?

Or are the people at the table fed up former servants of the main course?

Intriguing label and a great beer.

Dry overall with plenty of char character, lots of cocoa powder and spent coffee grounds primarily. Maybe a little molasses and raisin peeking through. Really nice old school stout.

One has to ask the question - How many other food items besides beer would feature an image of cannibalism on their food label? Are those suggested food pairings to the right of the image?

Beer is food but also art, I don't mind this kind of label. I understand it's not for everyone though.

And yes, those are food pairing suggestions.

I'm trying to decipher "twice fried Porterhouse." Frying a porterhouse ONCE seems a terrible thing to do to a great cut of steak; twice is almost criminal!

A good steak fried right in a cast iron skillet can be amazing. A Google search does show tons of recipes for twice fried, slow roasted porterhouse. I'd try it I guess, I agree though, does sound strange.

Yeah, I guess technically cooking a steak on a cast iron pan is frying it, though I never think of it that way. And a cast iron pan is the best way to cook a steak!

    Here's my first contribution.
I'm a fan of darker, malt heavy beers, with Imperial Stouts being one of my favorites.
First time I've had this, and it was a good one!

But no suggestion for how to prepare your rich people? Seems a bit odd, and looks like these folks went with spit roasting. The apple is a bit trite though. IMHO.

    Update

    The BA Stout is trash

0 noted of coffee, the sweetness makes any barrel presence disappear

Said it before and i stand by it

HpB makes some disappointing stouts .

It's an insult to the coffee. Insult to the barrels.

I'm not necessarily knocking it, but I find the situation interesting from a cultural and marketplace standpoint (and I appreciate you bothering to remove the label for the photo). In my mind, if beer is art (and I'm not saying it is or isn't), then crackers are art and marshmallows (etc.) are art too. That probably sounds pejorative but I don't mean it that way. I just don't think beer is special in that way (even if it's special to me). :beers:

There can be art in the preparation of food, maybe not marshmallows though? I didn't read anything hostile in your post. Beer as art or not would be an interesting discussion to have over a beer sometime, if you're ever in Lancaster County first round is on me.:beers:
