“Absolutely. 2023 marks 10 years. Going to have fun next year.

Bringing back at least 3 beers that have only been released once (Orviamo, Brett Project #1, Saison de Rouge). More nostalgic beers that I want to re-enjoy. Also planning on some which we have never released (a quintuple BA stout, maybe a dbl BBL derivation actually to-go, different finish for dbl BBL Anabasis), but like always, its a function of the barrels producing the beers we want them to.”

At this rate, Side Project should be announcing water from the fountain of youth and Jesus’ blood by the end of February.

They didn’t name it in the IG post then, regarding Soliel, but did have bottle pours of it at The Cellar back in November, “…a never-been-released beer with peach and passion fruit.”

 

Sounds fantastic, did anyone try it? I’d love to hear some tasting notes. Passion fruit and peaches sounds like an awesome combo, but could be pretty sour

 

description in email said it was trending toward lighter acidity just as their saison production has over the last couple years and also uses roughly 2/3s of the fruit as a fruited fermier. i am hoping it is well balanced.

 

So how long are we thinking OWK is going to last on-site?

Looks like @KevSal 's post was deleted. But, thinking about how many bottles there could be. For round numbers, if the barrel had 6,000oz remaining after aging, and we use 12oz rather than 375ml as the format, that would be 500 bottles. Not sure how many barrels they might have received, but 4500 bottles would obviously be 9-barrels. Seems like a lot.

It is being announced well in advance and LC gets it, so surely they aren't just releasing like 100 bottles into the wild on the 15th. I'm kind of hoping it's at least 500 though. If it was something closer to 1500 or 2000, that'd sure be nice.

it’s hard to believe anything about bottle counts when it comes to SP as they never release any info on that and cory himself has said they mess with the inventory online so when people check it’s not accurate.

all that said, the bottle count could potentially be high due to the fact that it’s a 375mL bottle.

 

there was a metric ton of BBT in 2022. i could see there being a decent amount of VW BBT. that’s purely speculation though.

 

My guess is there enough for la coterie, enough for a small public sale, and enough to last through stout week.

 

Fuck it. Anyone here going to be at Side Project tomorrow late afternoon/early evening and want to split some bottles?
