Looks like the project is called Artifact. Here's the IG page so far. No details on any of the posts.

If you follow the link on the IG page it takes you to what looks like the official webpage for the project. Pretty simple and bare bones at the moment. Not sure if its all just placeholder or what but if you go to the products portion there is one product named product 1 with a price of $200 and it says sold out. Considering the detail text is Lorem Ipsum text which itself is placeholder text I would assume the product is as well. Pretty interesting nonetheless and honestly not a surprising project from Cory. Hopefully its better than the crap Treehouse is calling whiskey

95-99% of craft whiskey not only isn't worth the price or worth buying, but isn't as good as "shelf" options that are considerably cheaper. Also, almost none of them put out any product that is older than 4 years, and those that do don't seem to put anything out that is greater than 4-6 years.

There are gems, but most isn't even remotely worth considering. This isn't even an unpopular opinion. Check out SB and it's practically the mantra.

Yo, I heard you like your BBT aged in bourbon barrels. So we took some bourbon that was aged in BBT barrels and aged a BBT in those BBT-Aged-Bourbon barrels.

And then finished them in port.

Well aware of this and absolutely agree with it. Very few out there doing craft whiskey that's worth the price tag. The age of the juice is the biggest factor in my opinion and its been hard to find any that I would say are better than the usual shelf bottles out there. Some of the smaller guys that I have enjoyed are Nulu and New Riff. Nothing world moving or anything but pretty solid stuff.

I really want to see what some extended aged juice from New Riff would look like.

    Homerun.

Agreed. One of the better craft whiskey outfits available. I was able to get a store pick SiB Rye they did and its the first time I've ever really gotten a green apple note from a whiskey. Super unique and a favorite sipper of mine here lately.

If you like the green apple note, consider trying Japanese whiskey.

Frey Ranch. Those guys are true farm-to-bottle, and are killing it with their younger expression whisky.

SP whiskey should be super easy to get and very reasonably priced. Can't wait to see what people trade for it!

Yes they do, they just buy it from MGP like everyone else.

I’m only recently into craft beer and I understand LC has basically been locked the last couple years. Have been trying to get ‘in’ for the last year, and despite many many dollars and regular weekly visits, still no dice.. but I’m hopeful for this March.

Anyhow.. this is probably an obtuse question, but do they limit LC purchases for things like VW BBT to 1PP? Know several people that have been able to get things for me in the past, but I’m expecting this to be more of a challenge. I’m planning to visit my brother abroad and would love to have more than 1 375 that I may or may not be able to get via general public sale, but I’m thinking I may just be out of luck.

Most LC offerings of the heavy hitters like BBT are 1pp without a package. Occasionally they will offer unlimited packages or 1pp packages to LC too. I’m sure VWBBT will at most be 1pp without a pack and 1pp with the pack to LC before the public sale.

Thought that’s the case. Really just trying to get 1 for myself and 1 to bring to share. Will probably just need to coerce someone with a trade or teach a friend/family how to use autofill and F5. Wish they would expand membership to people that clearly enjoy the product and aren’t shy to demonstrate it.

Phew. Thought it was just me.

Some kind soul left several oz of each of the DB Derivations at the brewery today for the staff to parse out. The brandy port was better than I was prepared for. Other two were incredible.

Lol.. like the speculation. If it helps — by recent, I mean two years and hundreds of visits. Just gets a little tired hearing about how easy it was in the past based on picking up proxy orders.
