Heads Up: Karma System Revamp!

Thank you. I really do enjoy spending time on BA and don't worry much about points. In this increasingly insane world I find it comforting to be among a group of folks who enjoy talking about beer, food, and pets (especially dogs!). My wife often asks me if there are any good photos of the "superstar" dogs North and Teddy. New Beer Sunday is a highlight of my week. Cheers!

 

When it all shakes out, we should all be relatively in the places we were before, in relation to each other, points-wise. Folks should just chill about internet cookies and enjoy another beer.

 

I've seen all those dudes at beerfests!

 

I have nothing to complain about, looks this even has been healthy for my points. So yes, chill

At least we know from now on how we can score tens of points with putting in some effort in a particular area. (jk)

As long as hunting beer karma is at most 20% of our motivation, it may be forgiven though, imho.

I am reminded of an old joke:

“Much to the concern of his parents, an eight-year-old boy have never spoken a word in his life.

Then one day after lunch, he turned to his mother and said: "Soup's cold."

His mother hugged him and exclaimed:

"Son, I've waited so long to hear you speak! Your father and I have been worried sick. So why have you never said a single word in all these years?"

The boy said: "Up until now, everything's been OK."

Hmm, is it ironical that this joke reference “eight-year” in it.

Starting to feel like this revamp is more along the lines of Untappd, do we get badges now too? I think we are being asked to be more engaged and “do things” to get points so we stay on the site more. Guessing there is some relation to our time on the site and some back end BA payback of some sort. Whatever it is I will still be around for the festivities, maybe not as much as I was prior. Weening myself from here and of beer a bit, both for health reasons, I’m not sick or under any order just that dry Jan this year really had me feeling better and I like that.
