The Seed - Moments (Ordinary Bitter)

This is truly delicious.

 

Happy Sunday BA's! Enjoyed sleeping in until 0700 today then ran up to cars and coffee. What a bust that was, only about 30 cars there and I've seen them all before. Oh well, Jai Alai with some bourbon candied bacon!

I received a 4 pack of Heady Topper from a legendary BA today. We PM'd about it midweek last week and it was delivered this morning. There's a bottle of Hunaphu headed his way. I wanted something special other than the 1 bottle of Pliny I have to surprise my friends at the super bowl party.

 

43° and sunny here. headed for the disc golf course! cheers!!

The Seed - As Simple As Shadows

This is labelled as a "NJ Malt Dark Lager", and it's technically a Schwarzbier. It smells like a schwarz, and it is fairly dry, with a balanced aftertaste. Both of the dark beers I've now had from The Seed have been quite interesting and complex. Nonetheless, the bitter was probably my favorite so far.

 

Afternoon BA's. Just finished a quick interval run, the last mile clocked in at 6:48. Maybe my fastest mile, I'm not too anal about keeping exact time. Picked up a 4pack of this for the weekend at a cost of $26.99. The lady at the liquor was surprised by the price. Not worth the price IMO. Some hazy sweetness, but not enough bitterness to linger throughout to cut the sweetness. Flavors come off muted to me, sweet orange and those crappy Dole fruit salad cups that kids of the 90's enjoyed. Nothing is popping off fresh. Mouthfeel is spot on though and dry at the end. I would much rather have the Roughtail Reviver I had prior to this, and a 4pack of that costs $14.

Another trail run this morning, first on REAL trails in a while, with dirt, vertical, and largely free of ice. Huzzah.
Another 0G for now, as I recover and wobble around the house after a tough 12 miler, sippin this and some coffee on the side as a chaser (?).
