What beer are you drinking now? #3762

Good day BAs and thanks @Shanex for starting today's thread! Another frosty morn here on the tundra of NW PA: 28F (-2 C) and clear and the ground is crunchy!

Today's New Breakfast Beer is one I picked up in Germany last year and just got around to drinking - as soon as I flipped the top - GUSHER! I think it might have been contaminated.

Thin, watery, sour, and cloudy. Rating 3, rDev 0% (First review). When I'm back in Bamberg next month, I'll try not to pick up any more of these.

Bottled 9/13/22. Poured at 54°. Tasty! Last bottle, need to get more from the big box store where good beers go to die…

Got home well after midnight this morning and went straight to bed…a beautiful sunny mid-70s day on tap…I have a beer meet up this afternoon; I brought beers home with me to share . Cheers and have a terrific Tuesday y’all!

 

Keeping the stout theme going...

 

Both of my beer buddies bailed on me for later today…may as well stay in this morning and drink another beer - FW’s 2022 Whistle Monkey, a Central Coast Quad Ale aged in Whistlepig Rye Whiskey Barrels:



Awesome American BA take on a Belgian Quad, sweeter and less complex, but the whiskey barrel treatment lends its own oaky whiskey barrel layers of flavors. Quite enjoyable!

Warm and cloudy here today, with some rain on the way soon....Emma and I got a 2.8 mile walk in earlier - this is hitting the spot with lunch today

 

Drinking a Bell's Two Hearted at Pittsburgh Bottleshop. Always a good choice!

The pour is fairly clear and a nice golden color. When held up to the light there's some carbonation bubbles rising in the glass. The head is 2 finger, white, and frothy looking. The head retention is decent overall, and there's some lacing on the glass.
The nose has a bit of hops in it, and the hops in the aroma lean toward citrus. I do get some grapefruit, and pineapple.
The flavor actually has some pine in it, and a pleasing bitterness. I did not get this in the aroma. The pine does linger, and is added to with some pineapple and grapefruit.
The body is lighter, as expected, but not watery at all. The body has a nice bubbly crisp feel to it.
Delicious and easy drinking overall.

 

Now drinking Dancing Gnome Double Lustra at Pittsburgh Bottleshop. Very good!
