You don't have to spend a fortune to buy a good guitar. I know there's a lot of guitar snobs out there and if it don't say Martin, Taylor, Gibson etc then it ain't worth buying. Simply not true. I own a lot of guitars, and some pretty high end ones, but to me it's all about how they play, sound and feel. I'm not into collecting guitars for investments and then not playing them because I'm afraid to scratch them etc. I buy things I like to play and have a good vibe to them. For $650, this is a lot of bang for the buck - but of course if you go electric you also need to get an amplifier.



I have a Sire H7 and it's just a great guitar, I've used it on a lot of recordings like this one. It plays and sounds as good as guitars costing 3 times as much.



For ~$700 you can't go wrong.

Second Fiddle. Not looking forward to tomorrow morning, got a dentist appointment to fix a filling that I lost - that means I'll have to get 'cained. At least I won't start my work day until around 11 am. Even worse than that, scheduled for a colonoscopy on the 20th, really not looking forward to that.

 

Mrs. Raul had a non-stress test for the pregnancy today, and everything went well! Due date is a month from today. You can say later I enjoyed myself a bit:

Athletic Brewing Upside Dawn Golden NA, .5% ABV. Pours clearish golden with a one-finger white head that left some lacing. Nose is sweet malt. Taste follows, slightly sweet, slightly bitter, and a trace of saltiness. Excellent mouthfeel, overall excellent. Best NA of the five I've had so far. Would be good with a shot of Blanton's.

That looks like an interesting beer - I happen to love Gewurztraminer wine - does it add to the overall character of that beer? Looks great!
