Looking on the browser platform for Oznr just now, there is a fee added at checkout which is their 'technology fee which fuels their ability to build new features, products & technologies'. Is this the same fee you are referencing? If so, I think there are additional fee/charges established for the relationship between Oznr and its partners (imagine this would vary by relationship) and it's these which are then baked into the pricing. I have no idea though.

I had never really looked into the fees until today, but that's the one. Sounds like a load of BS to me.

I’m no fan of Oznr, but I just checked my Sickle receipt which was $25/2pk. Total was about $32 after taxes and fees. Hoping with the $5 difference that Oznr still ends up after $40 but even so one 2pk is all I’ll try for in this range.

I’m quite surprised it sold out as fast as it did, considering all of last year’s releases sitting around for some time (benthic) or not selling out (before land shook, world of bog, sickle through sable).

Great for Half Acre though. They rock and deserve it.

I’m not sure what you mean- Benthic sold out fast online, as did Before Land Shook and Sickle Through Sable. Bog was in person release only. I know they continued to sell some of the online releases in person as well, but just because a brewery holds back some stock to sell to in person locals doesn’t mean the demand isn’t there. Plus they never advertised anything but Bog was available in store.

the online releases lasted 1-2 hours. Not long but also not an immediate sell out

Right, but my point was correcting the notion of them not selling out or having low demand, 1-2 hours is still a fast sellout for brand new beers, especially at the price. Plus compared to Benthic which they make a metric ton of, Catch Hell is a more limited release. And with Universe, an instant sellout never can happen because of the waiting room.

But also let’s remember that every one of the Catch Hell iterations sold out as fast as Universe would allow compared to the others from last year, so the name carries some level of hype.

agreed. The only year it didn’t carry hype was year one where it lasted in the Lincoln bottle shop all day

Wasn't the original CH 16oz? DB and TB were 12oz? The less beer for more $ trend continues.....

Let's all get back in our time machine and reminisce about the salad days of barrel-aged stout prices.
