Has anyone seen my mythical white whale anywhere? Last time I had it was years ago, and the last time I truly lived.

It's been a few years for sure. I always liked it during the holiday season. Hope to see it again!

Only ever saw it one year and thought it was discontinued. I liked it myself.

I’m pretty certain Dogfish Head put out something on their social media about it being on their release calendar this year, bringing it back from hiatus. I’m completely guessing it would be a fall release, which would have it out by July.

    Edit: Nov/Dec according to https://www.dogfish.com/brewery/beer/2023-release-calendar

A less intensely sprucey ale, but in the same ballpark, is Yards's Poor Richard's Spruce Ale.

I’ve never heard of that beer (not that I would have, ha). It sounds really interesting. Sucks that I can’t get yard’s where I am. I really liked brawler.

Spruce beers are not always readily available. A perfect excuse to homebrew one?

For folks who are members of the American Homebrewers Association you can read all about it:

Jack Horzempa, “Spruced Up Homebrew,” Zymurgy Magazine (May/June 2018), pg. 55

    Cheers!

P.S. There is a brief discussion on the brewing of Yards Poor Richard’s Spruce Ale within the article.

I don't think I've ever seen Pennsylvania Tuxedo. I have a bottle of Yard's Poor Richard's at home that I will get to eventually. And while it's totally different because it's a Gose, I've been wanting to try Grimm's Super Spruce. However, it's not easy to come by around here.
