Being the product of a German mother and a Swiss father, i seem to have the genius of critical examination of beer from my mother's side. Having lived in America for pretty much my whole life has daunted my spirit, however a 3-year stint to Darmstadt Germany in the service revived the grains that where alive and thriving in my veins. Now, not knowing anything about beer, i am left with just a general sort of curiosity of ability in the realm of criticizing, with no ability to make my own. (lazy). I would much rather question beer than make it myself and be questioned. This being said, I do like to entertain the thought of a good Brew Master as being someone close to God, or some other angel, for a deep spiritual cleansing of the soul. They deserve recognition as a saint or a clown in the circus, they both put a smile on our face, and make us wonder what is out there........the potential of craziness and thought, at times obscured.
After seeing the subject line for your post I was going to say, "Okay, let's start over with this." But you've written an excellent intro that says a lot. Welcome to the BA site where everyone is welcome to say a lot in the forums. Have at it.
