Heard some talk about this earlier and verified it online. I hear Cory plays a big part in the beers they brew so hopefully the quality stays the same. Head Brewer Derek Gallanosa has been with Rocklin's Moksa Brewing Co. since it opened in 2018. He came to the local brewery from San Diego, where he held a similar role with Abnormal Beer Co. Now, Gallanosa is returning to San Diego, according to a report from San Diego Beer News. It says he will be director of beer operations and a partner in a new business called GOAL. Brewing. The brewery's tasting room could open in June, and Gallanosa expects to move to San Diego three months before the opening, San Diego Beer News reports. Under Gallanosa's leadership, Moksa won a variety of awards. The Rocklin business got international attention when it was listed among the 15 best new brewers in the world for 2018. That list was from RateBeer.com, a website that compiles consumers' beer ratings. Moksa ranked No. 8 on the Business Journal's list of local breweries last year, based on number of barrels produced. Moksa produced 1,572 barrels in 2021, according to Business Journal research.
Cool, they’ll be neighbors with Seek. Coming out with a BANG … from a recent article -> “GOAL. will launch their first original beer this month, a bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout and collaboration with Moksa Brewing, Mostra Coffee, and J. Wakefield Brewing. The beer called “Watch ‘Em All Flock” is the first of many collaborations to come, with IPAs, sours, lagers, and stouts mapped out for their future taplist.”
From some article I saw it sounded like he had never planned to stay up north as long as he did. Had always planned to move back to SD where his friends and family are.
