What beer are you drinking now? #3774

Hope everyone's enjoying Sunday afternoon. I'm drinking a new-to-me beer from a new-to-me brewery, Pixels, a New England IPA from Seminar Brewing in Florence, SC. While certainly not world class it's flavorful and very enjoyable. Cheers!

 

Definitely - freakin' gallon of that stuff to drink - half tonight and half tomorrow morning. I'll get through it, although I won't be enjoying it.

 

Hello there BAs and thanks @beergoot for todays thread. A nice quad! A kitchen sink week of stuff here and a short band rehearsal tonight. I really want this beer and so, it must be. Pryes Pragmatic Pils. I shall tarry not, gnaw thru the can like a thirsty beaver, and probly have a 2nd. It's a great Pils (hits the Czech style well) and the brewery is about 16 miles from my shire. Cheers everyone!

 

Founders' KBS Chocolate Cherry (11.6%): An American Imperial Stout aged in bourbon barrels with the addition of chocolate and cherry for flavor of chocolate syrup, dark fruit, coffee, and bourbon. Sweet and rich.

Have seen a few posts of this one today from @jkblr and @Danmullens1 (though my pouring pictures aren't nearly as good). Now it's trending. Figured I'd try it for the first time to round out the week of Valentine's. Not nearly as much fudge or cherry as I expected. More classic KBS flavors. The sweetness tames the booze a bit. Drinks more natural than the Hazelnut or Mackinac Fudge. It's a Valentines' sipper for sure and I think these flavors suit the KBS the best of the KBS varieties. Very nicely done.

Hope this doesn’t knock me out before I can rate a new beer later today. This beer strong as hell, but too good not to order.

Happy Sunday advocates. Da Boss and i went up to a small Asheville brewer Riverside Rhapsody for lunch and a beer. It was an okay adventure but likely not returning as it is pretty spartan there.
Home for dessert and having New Holland's Dragon's Milk 2022 BA Reserve #3 (Graham Cracker, Marshmallow, and Chocolate). One would think this would be too sweet but adequate barrel notes balance most of the sweetness out. Good beer as designed.

After a few of those experiences, I asked my doctor if there was an alternative. There is, now I do Eddie Murphy fishing in the bathtub… Works for me, and always get a smile on my face just thinking about the skit. Cheers!

Real Ale Brewhouse Brown Ale, man this is one of my favorite old school Texas beers. I can just never find it very much anymore, let alone fresh. Found an uber fresh six pack randomly, and of coarse had to get it.

More Kinks spinning. Lola Versus Powerman and The Moneygoround (just got to love that title ha). I think this is every bit as good as anything they have done, which is saying something.

 

I agree. Very good pale ale. I almost bought it again this afternoon but ended up with some Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA instead.

 

I made the mistake of putting my spiegelau glass in the dishwasher. You can guess how that turned out.

 

I might not be able to drink beer today, but that doesn't mean I can't buy it. Scoffed the last three 4 packs of fresh Hippie Chick along with some Orval and Harpoon Interobang Espresso Stout aged in Whistlepig rye barrels.

 

Out in the motherland for several days here in Columbus, IN to help my parents move into their new house. Goin' bare bones by skipping the glass and goin' straight to the dome. I love me a good Fiddy.
