I'm not to crazy about regular hefeweizens or wheat beers in general but I can get behind this weizenbock. I'm going to have try more of this style.

    Cheers y'all!

Ran a few errands for the wife and was close by Tap 22, so here I am. $3 you call it Wednesday here. Toppling Goliath Pseudosue was my call.

Nugget Nectar still a treat when fresh and the bitterness-malt is balanced. Good mouthfeel this year. Back to work. Cheers!

Not been there yet. And probably will not be going there this time. Eating out has a high price tag here. Price rises steep when you like to have a beer with your meal. Don't even think about wine
    Cheers!

I am a pretty live and let live sort of guy, and yeah that was more me being genuinely curious. Each season has its style.

A strong, heavy stout by 100F more weather would be a no-no though. The golden summer days have their lagers and Pilsners, or session IPAs for lightweights like me.

...Guinness stout was one of my gateway beers to the possibility of something other than American adjunct lagers or our Canadian cousin beers back in the 70s in Ohio (what is this dark beer sold in 4-packs???)...while stationed in West Berlin, I used to enjoy Guinness year-round...granted, it's not a strong, heavy stout, but it sure tasted good year-round...

Guinness is close to quaffable as opposed to say - BCBS and its many variants. Of course that’s a beer you can drink year round without a problem. Not too strong either.

Now you’re making me think I forget to drink it more regularly. I love West Indies Porter, probably the one from Guinness that tickle my fancy the most. All others are good too.

Another windy day. Winds of 30 mph with gusts to 60. Good thing we got our golf in earlier, before it became too windy.
    Elevated IPA after golf.

    1) Humble Forager Forbidden Fortune (8.0% canned 11/1/22): A NEIPA from Wisconsin with Mosaic, Nelson, Strata for flavors of lots of passionfruit, citrus, tropical pineapple, creamy, smooth.
    versus
    2) Equilibrium Quantum Drops (8.5% canned 12/2022): A NEIPA from NY with flavors of mango sorbet, peach. Smooth, creamy, and sweet. (Correctly matched the two blind)

    Winner:
    1) Equilibrium Quantum Drops:
Both are some great thick and creamy haze here, much needed for this winter day. Humble Forager releases a banger with this one. The Mosaic, Nelson, and Strata work together perfectly for some great passionfruit flavors. Smooth, creamy, without being too sweet. Couldn't pass up Quantum Drops though. This is Equilibrium excellence with the rich mango skin flavors. Kudos to Humble Forager for making a close 2nd here though, and who knows maybe it would have won had it been more fresh. Nevertheless both are very similar and near perfect.

Done with a busy day of work and having a Jai Alai. Looking forward to dinner which is going to be a homemade meatball sub on sourdough baguette.
