Local German club now has Hoffbrau Munchen Original / Helles / lager on tap in 500 cl glasses. Whatever you want to call it. Absolute heaven. Downside: the 20 minute drive home after leak testing my bladder for a couple 'o hours.

    That's a !@#$% BIG glass - 500cl = ~1⅓ US gallons.

But, on a positive "freshnewss" note, I guess that'll help the bar go through the keg faster.

No, no, no. I said it wrong. It's 50 cl. Jeez, I'd need a real bladder for that. What a dope, sorry. It was a nice cold icy half liter glass of real imported German beer. They go through those kegs FAST. Also have Spaten on tap, as well as Warsteiner. And Pilsner Urquell. So you can drink your way around Europe.

It is at the German club, Vereingung Erzgebirge in Warminster, PA. If you visit, bring some Heady with you.

My local Club (Albany, NY) switched from Spaten to HB 2 years ago when the Spaten distributor couldn't provide product. Generally, the beer has been well received - German beer is pretty good no matter what the brewery. However, I don't care for the HB Weissbier.
