Hardywood Sheep Mullet. I haven’t dipped my toes too much into the hazy and or juicy beer, and this one tastes like a glass of carbonated orange/tangerine juice. Is that normal for a juicy DIPA?? Most of the others I’ve had you can tell the juiciness retains some of the hoppy profile, this tastes like straight juice. Not complaining, just asking because I’m sure y’all have had way more of these.

Canned 12/7/22. Poured at 56°. Another winner from one of my favorite small breweries in NY. Roast coffee/bittersweet chocolate. Alcohol 14% well hidden flavor-wise, yet obvious heat in mouth. I like! Working on notes for NBW…

Another day of moving stuff from point a to b this afternoon…not at all excited…at least the weather is pleasant - we should hit upper 70s with full sunshine. Cheers and have a great Saturday y’all!

Happy sunny Saturday - bit chilly, but warming up nicely - supposed to be mid-40's today and near 50 Sunday - will take that all day long!

 

Happy Saturday BA's! Five hours of OT complete, may miss govt. contract due to test failures. That's when you see who really has your back. Made a stop at Ology Brewing in Tallahassee yesterday and grabbed a mixed case. Sensory Overload hazy Citra IPA and man is it fresh and awesome!

 

NBW and BAT cross-post. One thing may have reduced my experience of drinking a delicious BA barleywine on a beautiful morning from perfect to awesome. Was the hyphen used correctly on the label? Is it supposed to be barleywine style-ale as it is on the label, or barleywine-style ale? If the hyphen was not used correctly, I may have to inquire about getting free BA barleywine. If it was used correctly, I am owed a powerbomb off my roof by someone from the brewery. Here is one band playing Milwaukee Metalfest, covering another band playing Milwaukee Metalfest. It is an incredible interpretation of a classic song. I have spent time with the members of both bands. (Dying Fetus and Broken Hope.) They are wonderful people.
