Clausthaler Dry Hopped NA. Pours medium brown with a one-finger white head that left some lacing. Nose is hoppy and roast malt. Taste follows, very slight sweetness, moderate hop and roast malt, slightly bitter. Nice mouthfeel, overall excellent.More flavor than most NAs.

Henderson/Fulton - Rush Golden Ale

I am one of the most musically uneducated people you could ever meet. Clueless. I confess to have never clicked on a single music video posted here. Therefore I have no clue who Rush are but at least I am aware that they are Canadian and they have a band.

The American version of this Canadian beer is contract brewed by Fulton in MN.

 

Always a sucker for a snow picture and a slow sipper.

Hot ash and pumice, not lava.

Appearance: Murky brown, small head that fades out quickly.

Smell: Oxidized, some cardboard, but some brown sugar too.

Taste: Wasn't expecting much after the smell, but it hits the spot! Nice tootsie roll sweetness, caramelly goodness.

Overall: Got this "aged at the store" from Blue Max in Burnsville, MN--they had multiple vintages of Old Stock and Bigfoot for $1.99 a bottle so I stocked up. This beer brings to mind the aged Victory Old Horizontals I used to have, nice tootsie roll flavor after many years of aging. Great stuff!

Had the Teelings BA version of this beer last night and it was nearly night and day different from this original, in my observation. I had a Teelings dram with it, and I thought the whiskey wove a thread through the unexpected result.

Wax Wings Brewing El Coco Esperando Double Mash Stout conditioned on coconut. This bottle has been sitting in the beer fridge since I met @brewskis last summer. Bad on me for sitting on this wonderful oily coconut infused gem so long. Thanks Jake for passing it along! See ya back in The Region in 5 months.....

 

Staying away from my inappropriate glass, I just use that one exclusively for Stouts, for IIPA I use a more appropriate glass.
