I happened to catch a live "around the town" report from Tighthead over the weekend and saw cask listed on their bar board (Tube, BTW).

I haven't been to the tasting room in too long and didn't know they were cask-conditioning -- now I have a big reason to check them out again soon.

I'm intrigued as well. Seems they have an English Bitter, Tube (4.2%) currently on. Their description is the following:

Fuller’s Chiswick Bitter is the inspiration for this English style session ale. Made with Maris Otter, Special Roast malt, East Kent Golding hops and fermented with English Ale yeast.

I've had this one on regular tap and from can, it's very good -- probably perfect for cask.

They make some good Pales and IPAs that will probably work well on cask too.

If anyone is planning a trip, shout out. I live right up the road.

I go to P3 and RT often, you won’t be disappointed

Good news for those of us up north not local to the original Whiskey Hill, but they announced today another location will be built in Mount Prospect. Have certainly enjoyed their BA offerings and their sour program is also on point. Will be a great addition to the NW burbs!

Does P3 cask-condition any of their beers?

They do not. Go to RT and skip P3.

No and part of the reason why I prefer RT. That being said, they are so close who not go to both?

Because they're a 45 minute drive and I need to be judicious with my consumption.

It just seems to me, based on input from others -- on and off BA, that RT makes more of what I'm looking for.

Oh, I had it from cask a couple months ago -- it's terrific.

You know there's an RT thread...

interesting - where did they announce? Also, seems like their barrel program has hit a little slump lately. Tough to spend $45 on a bottle if it isn’t consistently excellent….

Right, this is the thread for breweries without a thread!

So.... how about Sundial huh? Just think when they move into Flesk's taproom that will be close to RT too!

Just looked this up -- up the road from McGonagall's where I enjoy Dovetail on tap, but a little further from me than RT.

I'll definitely keep it in mind, though.

Riverlands Anniversary IV tickets are still available. Betting their decision to up the price $10 while removing a pour (now 2+1 anniversary instead of 3+1) may have slowed down the demand a bit. Still going as I enjoyed last year's event but pushing my upper bounds. https://riverlandsbrewing.square.site/s/order
