Couldn’t care less about how it tastes. I just think it’s a nice gesture and innovative to offer it to consumers. It’s a cool idea. But agree, anyone who is complaining that a stout is room temperature

 

Why would one expect a sample poured from a barrel to be cold or carbonated?

 

apologies as I wasn’t clear. They were comparing it to the bottle variant of truth, suggesting that they preferred it served at cellar temp and consumed while it warms with carb.

Definitely a nice gesture. I think Springdale used to barrel pours, which I thought was cool. A lot of breweries seem to want to keep their barrel program under cloak and dagger, but it seems like a good way to engage customers.

 

Why does it feel like every time I periodically check in on this thread there's one or two posters acting super weird? Is it a side-effect of that bubblegum yeast, maybe? Need the FDA to look into this, STAT.

Reviewing this, I've come up with a recap and I want to make sure I have this correct:

Mosaic G. Hops (@Mgh2001) posted about Tree House's barrel pours. In that post, he wrote (mistakenly, he added) that there were, "Some complaints" about room temperature and carbonation levels. Because this is an absurd thing to "complain" (his words, not mine) about, as barrel pours are typically served at cellar temperature and are yet to be fully carbonated, I made fun of those people (who were NOT the person who posted and didn't actually exist).

Then I was accused of enjoying a beer that I've never heard of and performing fellatio on a brewery owner.

Is this an accurate summary? I made fun of people who don't actually exist and the reason I poked fun at them is because someone made that story up?

(But, honestly, "how does Nate's dick taste at cellar temp" was laugh out loud hilarious. I might alter that and make it my new username)

For what it's worth, I caught that it was the "royal you", but hey, internetting is hard and you always have to be on high alert to defend your honor.
