6000 was over the top sweet for me, and I love me a good sweet English BW.

They are oxidized deliberately, lots of info out there if you Google it.

Teo Musso produces three versions Gold, Silver & Copper label which differ from each other in terms of degree of oxidation allowed and fruity perfumery aromas created.

to be clear i have never had brew 6000

i have had brew 4000( in 2021 and it was fuckin awful) and brew 5000( just as awful) , and by awful i mean a cloying undrinkable mess.

the 2 people i sent b5k didnt like it at all and i know of 2 other people that couldn't drink B6K.

the people i speak of are big fans of the Stouts ( without garbage added) that i also like.

The only BWs i really like are Third Coast, Old Guardian , Gnarlywine and recently Voodoo Continuum( only had 5 oz and was more than enough)

@micada i think was the most surprising person to me that wasn't a fan cuz he was the one person i would think would want more of it!

Double Barrel Circle of Wolves (2023) - The Veil

First time having a BW from The Veil...it was good, but came across a little hot with the barrels. This one could probably use some aging so the barrels will be a little more subtle and integrated more.

To be fair, I am not the biggest fan of Apple Brandy Barrels so that could have been what disagreed with my palate as well.

Voodoo has a cellar sale this weekend, which happens to be when I have to pick up my Tavour order, so who knows how much more money I’ll be dropping. They haven’t let on what they have, only “first come, first served, no limits.” That’s a recipe for disaster for me. Trying to work out an IP meet with @Blogjackets. For all I know, @Fordcoyote15 will be there.

B5K was the line in the sand for me. B6K jumped way over it. Those J.W. Lees 1976 yeast BWs are my new favorite.

I think @Resistance88 is in the American BW camp. I’m in English. That makes trading easier!

They closed, but they still have some full barrels that they had always planned to bottle when ready. They also said they would brew collaborative stuff from time to time.

Sadly I won't be able to make it this weekend. Hopefully they put on rye one way ticket to midnight for the corresponding BA day and you get a look at it for us. I know I'm looking forward picking this one up.

You had Tree of Light from tree house, right? That was pretty sweet but I loved it. Anything like that?

It's been a long time since I've had either one, but I think I would say that they are similarly sweet.
