Enjoying a Saison from Good Word in the greater Atlanta area. Found it very flavorful but a tad heavy for the style. @ATL6245 David, these guys brew a wide variety of beers with quality consistency - will continue to buy them as they make their way into Hendersonville.
    Cheers!

    1) Toppling Goliath Fire Skulls & Money (7.2% canned 1/27/23): A NEIPA from Iowa with Citra, Mosaic, Galaxy, and Nelson for flavors of orange citrus zest, vinous white grape, and pine.
    versus
    2) Toppling Goliath King Sue (7.8% canned 1/5/23): A NEIPA from Iowa since 2014 that is brewed with Citra hops and has flavors of orange citrus, pineapple, and tropical mango. (Correctly matched the two blind)

    Winner:
    1) Fire Skulls & Money:
King Sue is always at the top and hard to beat. Creamy orange with just a touch of flower. It's not overpowering and smooth. Fire Skulls and Money is the opposite. Juicy with some more modern hop flavors of Galaxy and Nelson that give it a more zesty citrus and white grape vinous flavors. It's also more fresh which may play a role. King Sue is more drinkable, but Fire Skulls and Money gets the win today. A creative name and the flavors are aggressive and pack a punch.

Rounding out the afternoon session with the last of my 2017 Sofie i found at TW-Greenville in 2021. This is still tasting very good. Will buy again somewhere down the road.

Always loved it when Peter Gabriel made good pop music as opposed to making his non-commercial artistical music. Love the mood and feel of this tune!
    Cheers!

What a tasty German Pils. I should have grabbed more of them. What I do not understand though is the pseudo-FCBarcelona-esque logo on the label. I mean WTF. I'm not a fan of using an existing logo as a template.

Nuances of Meaning, a WCIPA from American brewery Aslin (6%).

This makes for a pretty nice West Coast IPA with a great bitterness, although I do miss that pine resin that I associate with the style. Instead this has got some earthy and herbal nuances to it which are nice as well, while also being being quite citrussy.

Just learned that Terry Holland passed - UVa basketball coach during the Ralph Sampson era and UVa's second most winningest coach (just surpassed by Tony Bennett). Though I would recognize most of them, I pretty much can't name any of the coaches that did so between the two.

Excellent Tom! Yes, that is one of the things that impressed me about them. They do a number of styles quite well. I had that one a while back. I thought it was good but there are a couple of other locally made ones I like a little better. Glad you are enjoying them. I can't seem to stay away from the place! Cheers!

OK, OK…maybe this doesn’t belong on this thread. But just my 2 cents, this stuff is damn good. It is not trying to mimic beer, so nothing like the Athletic Brewing products, or traditional NA beers. However, if you like hops, this hits the spot and is incredibly clean and refreshing. I highly recommend…
