I'm having another Pliny, so you already know where this is headed. I love you, as always. I'm just over here doing chores (buzz energy) and getting lost in the sappy shit. Haha! Peace...
    P.S. I'm not going anywhere.

This song is realistically better than a lot of Backstreet and 'N Sync hits. RIF. I said a lot. Not all.

I am out of daily drinker type stouts, keep hitting the cellar. I had a wife’s Double Dog that did not hit the spot. On to this 2018 GI BCBS. Oddly, much sweeter than I recall initially. Had a couple pinches of St. Peter’s select blue cheese. Mmmmm. Cheese n beer.

Glad to hear he is able and of the mind to continue to participate.

I love my dentist and dental hygienist but sometimes they freak me out. They are just doing their job.

Change of subjects my friend but did ever tell you the time I tussled with an Army self defense guy? And held my own.

    I know, sign off Mike.

That's cool you were able to do that and geek out on the old episodes. Would say politics is a crutch for just about all of media these days.

The most memorable SNL sketches in my mind are the great performers and characters they created. Also loved some biting social commentary they were able to get away with. Loved everyone besides Chevy Chase in the OG cast, Eddie Murphy, Phil Hartman, Norm Macdonald's Weekend Updates & Burt Reynolds, and several other cast members over the years. Christopher Walken my GOAT host. Steve Martin and George Carlin were excellent as well.

    Revisited March 01st, 2023

Still an inky, opaque color; an initial thick head that eventually fades to a light wisp of khaki colored foam. Nicely balanced aroma; dark, roasted malts; earthy sweetness; dark chocolate. Fantastic flavor compared to last year; balanced, rich and flavorful, sweet yet not cloying; very subdued whiskey presence; a very slight woody phenol taste. Heavy body; smooth and silky on the palate; semi-sweet with a very subtle alcohol warmth.

This is a different beer in many ways from last year. Based solely on my scores, I'd say more balanced, more mature in character. I'm liking this year's version much more.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------

    Original January 18th, 2022 scores and ratings: 4.0 4.5 3.75 3.75 4.0; overall: 4.0; rDev: -5.9%

Tar black, opaque body topped with a thick, spongy, semi-creamy, light khaki colored head; respectable foam rings. Outstanding smell of dried figs and raisins; moderately roasted grain; dark chocolate. Great similarity between the taste and the smell; light milk chocolate flavor with a lightly spicy, moderately boozy set of aspects; bourbon; anise. Heavy body although a bit thin for the style; boozy heat mingling with a moderate residual sugar feel.

The bourbon barrel treatment really makes its presence felt with this beer. I may have to get a second can and let it age a bit, as the boozy qualities tend to overtake the rest of the beer. Still, at 11.5% ABV, some whiskey qualities are to be expected. It would be nice to have some canning data available. Otherwise, not bad for a high-octane stout.

Pouring temperature: 48 °F; canning data: unknown
