I guess I have been lucky. I can't say I haven't let a dog know who is the Alpha, I certainly punched a few ( hate me if you wish ) when they try that crap. Most are sweethearts. My philosophy is if have to go in to mistrust or defense mode, that Ain't my dog. Luckily I have never been confronted with your dilema. I wish you patience & wisdom.

 

Found the bottom of wine bottle number #1. I think I will find the same on bottle#2. Suffice it to say, I enjoyed my beer tonight via Veil. Crap, these guys know how to brew IPAs.

Sad story though, youngest daughter loves super hoppy IPAs. Thing is her husband is on the road and she is left caring for a 5 month old. That said tomorrow night she may be able to enjoy a DIPA. Got two today I know she will like. Son-in-law is awesome. Dealing with shoulder surgery though. Not a dumb ass but he is getting too old for certain weight training.

Legend brown ale. Despite all the new and exciting breweries (I have an allegiance to triple crossing especially) legend is the stable old workhorse that is in my opinion severely underrated. It used to be the only game in town, and it’s contribution to RVA beer culture should never be overlooked

Sorry about all the issues with Oscar, he seemed to fit right in and filled a void. I hope everything works out for the best for all.

We have a cat that is on kitty prozac, he had really bad separation anxiety, basically pissed on everything in the house when we left to go out or work. It doesn’t make him zombie like and in fact if I didn’t pill him every day I wouldn’t even know he was medicated. Some animals get very anxious for god knows what reason and they are all different but it solved 99% of Henri’s issue. We got another cat at the time he was having his problems thinking it would help but it made it worse, they became territorial so we went with the chemical alternative.

 

The food. I am humbled.

2014 Happy Ending from Sweetwater Brewing

Don’t know how this one made it past the label approves; though it was 2014…a different time.

Been holding on to this for years for no damn reason. Let’s Celluary it!





The pour:


Wax has kept the carb solid considering, I’ve moved like three times with this thing. Roasted malt, subtle coffee and cocoa, to be expected a little more muted at the age. Remembering this from years ago it’s definitely certainly akin to what I remember.

Nice roasty mouthfeel in which you want more, but alas it’s very staple throughout the tongue. But for a 9 year old beer from Atlanta, it’s solid as ever!
