Thanks for the tag @Roguer. I love all of you but won't be doing BIF this go around either. We're doing phase 2 of our house reno, this time expected to have to move out for 2 months or so back in with the in laws, beginning in 4 weeks or so...also been really cutting back spending of all types in preparation. This has been our long term plan since buying our house 10 years ago, and damn the price of everything now

I told @Coronaeus that would probably be my last northern box for a while and damn it the stinking thing didn't even make it it had some beers you would've loved Peter, which makes me sad again

I'll see you all on the weekends forever and as always what do we got like 48 hours...?

The builders will have the greatest job ever, “guys beer keeps showing up for us on the job”…the project may never end

 

Plus it's a much more fun way to support his renovation, by eliminating his beer spending through inundation

OK, so if Jon drinks X beers per week, and the renovation takes Y weeks, and we have Z participants...let's assume ideally Jon needs a delivery every two weeks, to ensure freshness and minimize storage burden in temporary living arrangements.

Naively, it's a simple calculation: X*Y/Z beers to send per participant. But, depending on the numbers, that may violate the two week spacing.

I'll start working on a spreadsheet. We'll need someone to go through Jon's posts to figure out X; if anyone has experience with house renovations of this nature, can we get an estimate for Y (ideally, a range like 12 ±3 weeks)...

Let’s make sure all factors are taken in to account here.

With playoff hockey around the corner, and Jon’s Maple Leafs making some well lauded moves as we approach the trade deadline, we need to be sure we aren’t underestimating his requirements. A long playoff run requires more beer. A quick playoff exit requires even more beer.

Please adjust the math accordingly.

 

I will say being out of home sucks, last time we did our bathroom is was a long month not having our home and privacy...but...I am definitely looking forward to watching playoffs on my in laws 70 inch tv with surround sound.

I'm already anxious, there are some great eastern teams this year...all these games that they have pulled off, came back in, or won in OT I'm really hoping pay off when it matters. Last night though McDavid wasn't gonna let the Oilers lose, that was a rough one, I swear he was possessed.

 

Usually when the Leafs make a trade you get about half the pundits commenting positively, and half negatively. This is first time in memory that I haven’t heard one negative comment on the moves they’ve made. There is unbridled excitement here at the moment.

It may not be enough to beat the Bruins or the Lightning, but, a goalie upgrade aside, they did what they had to do with a day remaining until the deadline. As a Habs fan, I hate to say I’m impressed with the moves.

 

We did an extensive home renovation around 5 years ago, and it was every bit of 2 months, so let’s say 60 days.

Beer calculus tells me that living with the in-laws will increase daily consumption by Pi squared, then divided by half a 6er, and I’m estimating @jonphisher is typically a 2-beer/day beer nerd, so we’re looking at 6.57973623 beer/day X 60 = 394.784175 beers to see him through. Or 395, if you prefer.

Trust me, I have a PhD in Beer Calculus.
