Now that all the MonkHeads have jumped off the hype Monk train…..
I noticed on their website they are offering a new ipa in 6pk (12oz), Drum Battle (cold ipa). This is the first time I seen 6pk of ipa from these guys. I know they do offer their lagers/pils in 12oz 6pk. Could this be a new trend? IPA’s in 6pk?

I'd be all for that trend if the 6pks were in the $12-15 range. Beachwood's LBC IPA was a banger when it was readily available in 6pks for ~$10.

I'm here for the Monkish mixed 12-packs. However, I do wish more breweries would let you buy single 16-oz cans or mixed 4-packs.

maybe thats why the homeless crisis is out of control in California. Them and the 450 mules are done for.

Stopped by the OG tasting room yesterday and it was super chill. My favorite was the Baltic Porter Moments Stolen made with Portola coffee. Hoppy stuff was good too.

I made my once every 6 month visit to Torrance Monkish last week, the Moments Stolen porter was a winner as well as the Pokemonk and Dry in Drums IPA's, got 4 packs of them all as well as the black lager, was also considering the Shadowboxing dubbel but that one didn't quite work for me

Uh, anyone know what’s going on with anniversary releases? We’re in May now and it seems weird that it’s been total radio silence on any kind of recognition whatsoever. No party, no drops. As far as I can remember, I’ve never seen them not at least acknowledge it, not even when Covid shut the whole world down in 2020.

Yeah it's pretty weak on their part. I did see that they were pouring from bottles of Triple Oaked Life Sized at a festival in another state. No love for us though.

It would have made sense for that TO to be the/a Anni release, but we are over a month past the time they did last years Anni release. Maybe the bottles had issues?

Has Monkish been releasing an exorbitant number of Triple IPAs or is it just me? Is that why nobody here talks about them anymore?

Nobody is complaining about "too many TIPAs" lol.

It's relatively quiet on here because there isn't a lot to talk about now that the beers are so easily accessible. No more talk of lines or limits, etc. The place runs like clockwork--no news is good news, if you ask this idiot.

Yeah, I pretty much just drink HPB and Monkish at this point. I enjoy being able to order cases with 2-3 different TIPAs at any time. Although Fog Fog Fog was kind of disappointing.

I think so. I've had a few of their triples that were either too hot or too viscous so now I regularly avoid.

Same. HPB for westies and Monkish for haze, although their west coast game is now top-notch as well.

FINALLY! Another stout release from Monkish today. I don't even remember the last one outside of in-house bottles around their anniversary.

No line to buy when I was there at noon.

And on the topic of "Has Monkish been releasing an exorbitant number of Triple IPAs or is it just me?"... they had 4 different TIPAs in cans to go. I bought 2 of the 4, because I love Monkish TIPAs.

Too High was honestly fantastic. Right up there with Biggie3 and Adios Ghost.
