    as a coffee snob and mostly espresso drinker this makes me hella Jelly. the jelliest of any beer posted so far. the massive espresso flavor really nailed the style of beer i love

    Bad Weather Brewing (St. Paul, MN) Calamity Russian Imperial Stout

    Nice combo of dark roasted coffee/malt, light bittersweet chocolate and some dark fruit. The deep roast/bittersweet chocolate keeps it from being too sweet and adds what I think is some nice, balancing bitter-ness. Really nice RIS. Glad to see some of the smaller breweries still making non-barrel aged or ad-junk stouts.

    Thanks to @Chaz for the can! Will look for full pack when it's released again.

    Drinking Ol' Raspy while some wet heavy snow falls on us down low near the coast.

    It's been crazy out here this past couple months. More snow than anyone has seen around here since the 80s. Rasputin obliges on a night like this

    Calis on a good one right now. People have veen trapped and stuck without the ability to get supplies on time up in the San Bernardino Mtns, buncha mudslides on cliff and sinkholes popping up , too.
    feeling like im in a better Florida out here

    Yeah we're living that Tahoe lifestyle right on the beach out here.

    They had to get CalFire to use some helis to bring hay to cows stranded up in the hills with 8 ft of snow.

    Hopefully the rain coming in doesn't melt it all at once.

    Finally had a chance at Surly Darkness, an added junk laden version no less, and it's still pretty good. I'd really like to try this without the cinnamon, coffee, maple syrup, vanilla, cat turds and whatever else they added.....

    Been lucky enoughto try multiple vintages of both BBA and Regular versions and while good it's def not worth buying more than once.

    @CraftFan5 +1 for Thin Man Brewing. Their 'Awesome Jenkins' series is something i think is worth trying at least once . I've had 3 or so different versions, zero adjuncts in all, and they are awesome( pun intended)

    idk which one that is cuz cant see wax ,but i believe i have had Blantons, Willett and some other one!
    @micada can prolly remember what hes sent me . he is a legendary man when it comes to sending me great shit from the other side of the coast!
