[IMG] Brasserie d'Achouffe N'Ice Chouffe (10%): A Belgian Strong Dark Ale with flavors of dark bread, caramel, Belgian bread spices, curacao, and thyme. Complex.

Well not going to do a correct pronunciation, but it's Belgian, authentic, and wonderful. A Winter Ale from Belgium with some fantastic flavors of caramel, brown bread, and curacao flavor. Just enough Belgian and thyme spices to clean the palate slightly. Goes down dangerously easy for 10%. Sort of reminds me of a mix between a Winter Warmer and a Caribbean Pirate Ale with the curacao spice. Absolutely delicious, complex, and well-made.

Cool - the Joneses - Jimmy and Joey D'Angelo, I know those guys well. I did a tune with Joey D'Angelo - that's Joe in the green shirt ..good player, teaches locally for a living. This tune was a bitch to mix and master and to be honest, I was never happy with the mix - mainly the bass. It was really muddy sounding and I just couldn't pull it out of the mud.

Working on some corned beef for dinner. Listening to this CD and having a Berkshire Brewing Irish Red Ale. I cooked the corned beef in this beer along with a bottle of Guinness. Should be good eating.

At long last I've finally reached the end of my 2022 okto stockpile.

I saved my fave of the year for last - there was no fresh Ayinger distro this past fall here.

Went a bit overboard with these in general, and hosted an O-Fest party for like 50 folks. Must have bought several hundred across a dozen or so brewers. I can now happily wait 6 months to do it all over again!

    Cheers BAs!

After hearing great things about Surly Darkness for years, I finally see it in the store, but it an added junker, i would love to try this without all the crap that the brewers added. Begrudgingly, it still pretty good....
