What beer are you drinking now? #3792

Today is my day off. All my errands are done, and it's snowing again outside. Time for a beer. This is one that @Whyteboar so kindly hit me with.


Fifth Street Hooligans - City Built Brewing - Grand Rapids, MI - NEIPA - 5.9% ABV

I really like the hit of pine and melon I get on the back. Tasty, and I am so happy and thankful it was sent to me.

The pour is very hazy and murky looking straw color. The head comes to 2 fingers, is white, fluffy looking, and has decent retention. There's a bit of lacing on the glass as the head dissipates.
Light notes of tropical hops on the nose. Some mango, grapefruit and guava.
The flavor is the hops, as expected, and tropical. Lots of pineapple, and grapefruit, some mango and guava. Hint of pine in the flavor, and I get some melon on the backside. There's also a decent bitterness in this beer. Flavor is a lot stronger than the nose suggested.
The body isn't really soft, It has a full body, and the bitter feeling does linger. It is somewhat sticky feeling.
Tasty and delicious beer that I am glad to try.

@highdesertdrinker Wow, this is hands down the best Brown I've had to date. I'd argue it's a perfect blend of dark malts, easy chocolate and brilliant hops. Thanks again!

Started off my birthday with some good old homemade biscuits and gravy. One of the top reasons I gravitated to my wife almost 40 years ago, the girl can cook!

Finally rolling around to a cold one,, Noon Whistle Gummylicious Hazy IPA, with a taco in a bag, or walking taco, whatever it's called.

Pork butt is slow cooking for tonight.

Lighting in here seriously sucks, but the beer is great!

Very pale and clear, great grains/multi grain and floral notes.

Very crisp and refreshing

 

Think I'll have another Gummylicious, then maybe a nap. The snow is starting to stick, so could be busy moving snow around this evening.

Right on target there BAs! Thanks @AzfromOz for 3792. Time for a new-to-me brew as I watch a pileated woodpecker snarf down some peanuts. Lots of perfect habitat here for those. Same w hares. Had to shoot one the other day. Will take out as many as I can due to their exponentially fast hump rate. Check out what they did to tree branches I pruned in Jan. Now they're moving on to our live dormant woody plants & shrubs. Ka BOOM! Humble Forager Pin Seeker Pilsner. It has a better color/look than my pic shows. Nothin' but goodness in this fresh can. Cheers!!
