Just knowing your taste I find it odd. I really thought you loved that beer. Now I'm questioning everything I've ever know. Up is down. Left is right. North is south.

Wake Up World Wide Stout from Dogfish Head.

Poured from a bottle at fridge temp. Pours jet black with a thin layer of light brown head. The nose is full of coffee, roasted malts, tobacco, rich molasses,

Taste is full of roasted malts, dark coffee, some toffee, dark fruit, dark chocolate, and slight maple. Mouthfeel is thick and the aftertaste is semi-sweet baking chocolate. It's crazy that the ABV (15.3%) is barley noticeable!

This is way better (less sweet) than I expected. I pretty much don’t buy any pastry stouts unless they have coffee to balance out the sweetness

A bottle picked up at a local brewery, Bald Birds Brewing (Audubon, PA) - BBA Grand Bald Eagle. Non-adjunct straight ahead bourbon aged stout.

Another coffee/cinnamon/vanilla stout. On a slight pastry kick lately. Saving my new barrel aged stuff from this Tavour box for next weekend.

Currently enjoying a 2008 DFH world wide stout. Not a fan of this beer when it’s young but after nearly 15 years (!!) this one is pretty great. Thinned out but still some carbonation and tons of complex oxidized sherry notes.
