    Hey there fellow BA's

After searching for 'glassware' on the site and cruising through the first 60 forum hits, I'm left with wondering if anyone has a definitive guide to glassware as I see quite a bit of contradiction with a Google search.

I currently only have shaker pints (thanks Ikea) goblet (La Chouffe) and what I've come to think is a Pils glass that's my go-to for really everything but mead. However I'm come across some other images that suggest this is a weizen glass.

    My go-to 'pils' glass ^

Certainly open to any and all suggestions for a glassware Guide and favorites for all round use.

    Cheers!

    Tulips. Just use tulips.

In my house, shakers are for milk, juice, and water only.

I've come around a bit on tekus, they're ugly, but they make for good drinking.

    What's your reasoning? Aroma?

I use my weizen cause I rarely have spill over from a proper pour on a pint size can.

I agree that tulips are the best all around glass to use. I noticed so many pictures on this site with them and that is what got me to try them.

Tulips for ales, but lagers? Shakers or a pilsner glass. Those both do wonders to agitate carbonation for the best look.

I use teku for “foofy” beers like double fruited sours. Large enough mouth while still retaining focus, and they’re so needy and fragile, so they fit the vibe.

Becher. It even works well for Ales and Stouts.

But I still like my Nonic for the latter.

Over-sized Duvel glass works great for almost every style.

They have a stem, which reduces warming. They're attractive. They work well for any style.

Most tekus have a nucleation point to keep the carb bubbling.

Pain in the butt to put in a dishwasher though. Pilsner glasses too since one that can hold all of a 12oz beer is tall.

Proper glassware is whatever the beer is in .

Anything else is just you doing extra for no reason.

    i said what i said.

I've had a fuckton of beers both in a glass and out the can/bottle ranging from world class to 211 and i stand by what i said.

The only difference is once you finish after pouring you gotta rinse/ wash your glass out.
Aroma is the same after pouring, look is the same and taste is the same.

The whole glassware thing is justification for alcoholism to mask it as a hobby

I'd say that isn't exactly a weizen glass, they are usually taller and skinnier with a bulb at the top.

That's a good glass to drink both ales and lagers imo.

I say drink out of anything you want.
