New Mod Team Hierarchy

Update: On March 1, 2025, the hierarchy has been flattened to simply the Mod Team with additional permissions granted to mods working on beer/place updates.

Every single day, the volunteer Mod Team is helping me keep our data accurate and our forums clean during their spare time. Before 2013, they were BeerFly Guides, then Site Editors (beers and places) and Moderators (forums), and most recently both of those were combined into Moderators (mods). But as we expand the forums and prepare for future growth, there's a need for more forum mods and mod types in general.

New Mod Team Hierarchy:

• Super Mod - beers, places, and forums
  • Data Mod - beers and places
  • Forum Mod - forums
    • Regional Mod - assigned to specific regional forum(s)

We have some mods who just want to focus on helping us update beers and places, while others are only interested in helping us moderate the forums or a single regional forum. This will give our mods much more flexibility by taking their interests and free time into consideration. But at the end of the day a mod is a mod and we're all one team.

New Mods:

• We've added some new mods since mid-2022, but didn't publicly welcome them. My bad! Please join me in thanking @Beersnake1 @mactrail @AzfromOz @HopBelT for stepping up and helping out!
• @cambabeer joins us as a Super Mod from New York.
• @cryptichead joins us as a Data Mod from Illinois.
• @Shanex has returned as our first Regional Mod for France!
  
• @sulldaddy joins us as a Super Mod from Connecticut.
