Incredible Trader: islandboi8204

    A few weeks back, I made a 'Thank you BA' LIF just as a way to give back to the BA community after my 200th review and recent birthday. The winner ended up being islandboi8204. It was a fun coincidence, because Jon and I had already had a BM going over our mutual love for Hill Farmstead beer and about me sending some Tired Hands stuff his way since he is originally from the Philly area. After sending the LIF box his way, we continued to keep in touch. Last week, Jon said he wanted to send a small holiday box my way. "Nothing too crazy" were his words.

    Forward a week later to today. I picked up his package at the FedEx store, and immediately opened it in my car to find this...

    I was speechless. Two incredible beers, and a third that just sent everything over the top. Jon knew that Duck Duck Gooze was my personal white whale, and we had talked about a potential trade down the line, but to generously send me it?!? I can't believe it. Even amongst the generous group of people that are BAs, this might be the most generous act I've heard of yet!

    So this is a huge, well-deserved public shout out and thank you to islandboi8204! Cheers Jon, and I cannot wait to send you something epic in the future!

    I'm still confused on how the hell islandboi lands good beer stuck out in Ha-v-eye-E

    Pints and Jiggers is a good spot though...

    This was a trade between 2 people who already know about good beer. Without trying to diminish this amazing (and hopefully contagious) act of generosity, it seems to me there should be more to "BA of the year" than just sending a box of walez to someone.

    Thanks Chad, always a good time drinking with you! And yes, definitely will do, most likely this summer. I'm saving some things to open, I'll keep you posted...
