What beer are you drinking now? #3801

Just got my oatmeal nitro Stout poked at Little House Brewing.
Waiting for the meat raffle to begin.

 

1) Toppling Goliath Electric Dino Boogie (7.8% canned 2/27/22): A NEIPA from Iowa/Texas with Simcoe, Citra, and Galaxy for flavors of orange citrus flower, cantaloupe melon, and peach.
versus
2) MORE DDH Double Space Boots (8.0% no canning date): A DDH NEIPA from Chicago with Citra and Galaxy for flavors of sweet orange citrus, tropical pineapple, hints of peach and mango skin. Leans sweet. (Correctly matched the two blind)

Winner:
1) Toppling Goliath/Pinthouse Electric Dino Boogie: Double Space Boots impressed me with the Citra and Galaxy. Some sweet tropical flavors that even impart a nice touch of mango and peach. Haven't heard much of Pinthouse but they are from Austin, TX. A cool collab. The Simcoe and Galaxy shine here with cantaloupe and peach flavor, yet still has that classic TG Citra base of orange flower to brighten it up. Drinks like King Sue plus a Simcoe and Galaxy twist. As expected, a collab with Toppling Goliath is usually a good thing.

Three more beers at Mcallisters during the Ireland vs England match. 6 beers for Six Nations, now time to go home probably for a nap.

Blood Orange IPA, Pilsner, Cream Ale

 

True Anomaly Contact Light. One of the better breweries in Houston, and one of the better saison breweries in the state IMO. One of the few really good hoppy saisons around. Most that claim to be a "hoppy saison" are basically just hoppy pale ales and forget about the saison part This has a great balance of both, which should be the case.

One of my all time favorite albums spinning. Red Clay by Freddie Hubbard.

Edit: forgot to add @woodchipper as well, never done the poked beer thing. Probably cause its just not something that would work well in Texas most the time, but I'd be interested on one of those really cold northern days I remember when I lived in Illinois ha.

It’s a beautiful pre-Spring Saturday along the South Jersey shore. I can’t stomach watching Duke play so Mrs. Mac and I are at The Seed in Atlantic City. I’m starting with a pint of Ordinary Bitter, Moments, which is extra-ordinary tasting for the style. Cheers!
