According to Facebook posts, it looks like Portico Brewing is very close to opening up their Somerville MA taproom. Its going to be located at 101 South Street in the Boynton Yards neighborhood. Not far from the new Union Square Green Line stop (and the site of the old Slumbrew taproom).

Interesting. Did they leave Hanover, or is this a second location?

Moved, they closed the Hanover location at the end of 2022. Kind of a bold move, IMO.

Hit Roundhead Brewing in Hyde Park for the first time tonight. They got posted about in here 2 years ago - a very welcome opening as I believe the first latino owned and brewed brewery in Mass - but as far as I can tell had not been mentioned here since. Seems they spent most of the last year doing curbside pickup type stuff (not sure if they were brewing at other facilities or their own) and the taproom finally opened in the last month or two.

Had the brown and red ales and they were both excellent. Missed the kitchen, but the pizza looked fantastic, and noteworthily a pretty extensive and interesting array of topping options. Great space, too. Looking forward to getting back there soon and would def recommend a visit.

I had a great time there last weekend. Enjoyed the Belgian dark beer. Lots of space inside with ping pong and skeeball. Tons of parking. Seemed like a good spot for family groups or big parties

Checking out the new Portico taproom. Pretty nice, very modern. Reminds me of Lamplighter’s new taproom which isn’t too far from here. Only 3 beers on tap right now. This is the 222nd MA brewery I’ve been to! Cheers.

222? Damn, that's awesome! How many have you not been to or what's next on your list to get to?

As far as I know I’ve been to them all! Whenever I hear of a new one I check it out.

Deep Cuts is opening in May in Medford Square. It will be a 240-person live music venue, restaurant, and brewery. They have already announced a number of shows through the summer. The Deep Cuts Deli had previously been located in West Medford. I think they were brewing beer at their previous location but I never had a chance to try it. Looking forward to a new beer and music spot near my house!

Outrider Beer Co. is set to open in Amesbury in May. We’ve met the owners a few times and they seem to be cool peeps and the location looks nice (been following their updates on social media). Will definitely be visiting when they open.

Didn't see it in the thread at all, but Lowell's Navigation Brewery announced they are opening a second location in downtown Chelmsford, hopefully over the summer.
Glad to hear it, because I feel like there is a distinct lack of good breweries in the greater Lowell area right now.

After being slightly underwhelmed by Mill 77, I'm interested in what Outrider is going to be. I walked by last weekend. Made me kind of miss the old Ale House (well, I believe that was the second iteration of it).

I live close by as well and I'm very excited for this space. The Medford FB group and Boston Restaurant Talk groups have been buzzing about it also, so I think there will be a lot of initial interest.

Yeah I wasn't very impressed with the beer at Mill 77 either, but also look forward to visiting Outrider.

Amesbury has developed quite the beer scene in a short time. Perhaps an article in the works (hint)???

I live fairly close and am excited about this as well. Moved to a neighboring town just before the West Medford location closed, so I'm excited to try their food. Saw Trevor Noah a couple weeks ago at the Chevalier. That area definitely has the potential to be more of a destination/hangout spot for sure. Lots of underexposed restaurants.
