Yes and no -- those beers are all still popular and our lager renaissance hasn't quite reached a complete return to dominance yet.

Well, craft lagers in the US are very popular...
for beer geeks to discuss on the internet and beer writers to publish articles about. Actual sales - eh, not so much.

But they might win the prize for being The Next Big Thing In Craft Beer going on 12 years in a row (I think it's 12, I may have lost count).

Funny thing was, before that era, 3 of the largest "craft brewers" - using the Brewers Association definition - had lagers as their flagship/best selling beers - Yuengling (Trad. Lager), Boston Beer Co. (SABL) and Gambrinus (Shiner Bock). Along comes the Year(s) of Lager, and Sierra Nevada drops Summerfest* and Kirin-owned Bell's reformulates Lager of the Lakes.

*Yeah, I know it coming back. We'll see what happens. I bet some BA's might even buy one, if they see it in the singles section.
