    @The_Kriek_Freak, yesterday you were drinking an Australian beer in Japan while I drank a Japanese beer in Australia, so I've decided to one-up you and tonight I'm in Australia drinking a Japanese-style beer that was brewed in New Zealand. You'd need to find an Australian-brewed New Zealand Pilsner or a New Zealand-brewed Australian Sparkling Ale to beat me here! :grin:

    That said I see you're in Taipei so your degree of difficulty has climbed exponentially!

    The beer is Kohaku by Garage Project out of New Zealand, delivered to me as part of a subscription pack. It's an amber lager brewed with roasted rice and is deliciously toffee-like with a smooth nutty creaminess from the beer. An excellent brew in my humble opinion.

    It's funny that you mentioned this as I came across a couple of NZ beers but decided not to buy them. I think however that they were IPAs.

    I absolutely love the can art of your beer! It looks like a rendition of a sake barrel and it's beautiful.

    Good day BAs! Thanks @Shanex for starting us off today. Miley looks like she's developing a bunch of melanomas on her arms. Off to a cool start to the day (40 F, 5 C) - may be getting a new dishwasher later today (purchased yesterday, allegedly to be delivered/installed this afternoon).
    Today's New Breakfast Beer - the best beers in western PA are from eastern OH!

    First one I’ve had since 2011. Very good, much better than I remember. Definitely a sipper. I’m going to age two of them and make sure I get a six pack every year from now on

    Buckskin is apparently the only Taiwanese brand to win awards at recent world beer competitions, and it is owned by well-known Taiwanese whisky producer Kavalan.

    Final year for my favorite seasonal and one of my favorite beers period. Same one featured in my Avatar, though no snow here as it's forecast to hit 78 F today!

    Indeed. I hope it will continue as a taproom draft only offering, perhaps if we are really lucky 16 X 4. Not counting on it, as I haven't seen a beer pulled from Rev's rotation ever return over the five or so years I've been an avid customer.

    Repo Man, an excellent Rye Stout, is taking A Little Crazy's slot in future Winter Seasonal six pack 12 oz releases through Revolution's distribution network. In the past I had the best of both worlds, as Repo Man was a 16 X 4 release available out of their taproom and perhaps locally.

    I tried shipping a case to my brother in Nevada who originally turned me onto the beer, but The Beer Temple stopped shipping beers to most states.



    The fifth anniversary of Art Bell's passing is this Thursday.
