What beer are you drinking now? #3826

Good day BAs and good day @Shanex! Thanx for starting today's thread! Looks like it's going to be a lovely day - Mrs. Lizard is off for a five-day quilting coven and I'm going to lop a couple of low branches off my sycamore. Currently 56 F (13 C) and sunny, so it looks like I'll be spending at least part of the day doing "yard work". For me, that means hanging out in my yard, maybe picking up branches, maybe wandering aimlessly while talking to the dinosaurs in the trees and maybe, if I'm lucky, saying "Hello" to our groundhog Brando.

Today's New Breakfast Beer:



A pretty good Murican barleywine, although it was only bottled this year. Rating 4.32, rDev -0.9%.

 

Good morning BAs, and thanks to @Shanex for the opening and art lesson…the things you learn on this site! Kitchen chores done, it’s coffee time, and while infrequent, a favorite - Revolution’s “Deth’s Tar” (2022) 19.3 oz stovepipe:





Canned 9/29/22. Poured at 56°. A big boozy (14.8%) oatmeal stout that never disappoints and ages well. Bourbon, toffee and bittersweet dark chocolate. Boozy exhale. Minor alcohol bite on tongue. A full minus body without feeling klunky/adjuncty. A top tier brewery in my book; I hope I can swing by the brewery again next month for a beer or two.

Overcast with some spitting rain currently and a strong breeze - I’ll take it. It has been so dry here … the grass, everything, needs the rain. I’ve nothing on my plate today, so I’ll stay in and enjoy a lovely beverage or two. Cheers and have a windy Wednesday y’all!

Happy sunny Wednesday! Had a nice foraging hike with my fav pup Emma this am....found some nice ramps (still a bit young, be better next week or so), and tons of spring ephemeral wildflowers blooming too! Gorgeous day! Getting 8 tons of driveway gravel dropped at 2 this afternoon, so my back may need more beers later!

Yesterday, we reached the 70° F mark and yet, there's some chance of snow in the immediate future.

The beer is excellent despite being canned in November last year. From Brewvana.
