Heading into autumn here and will be happy to have less to do in the yard for a while.

Another outstanding beer from Bottle Logic tonight - Red Eye November 2021. An imperial coffee stout (different coloured label to the database). Nice coffee, dark chocolate, molasses and bourbon flavours. Very smooth. Was great to get some beer from Bottle Logic in Australia this year and will definitely be on the look out for more! Good day BAs! Thanks @Shanex for throwing out the first beer of the morning (A baseball allusion from an archaic rural past time, see also "Remedies for sleeplessness"). As the sun slowly rises over the NW PA tundra and the temp rises (47 F, 8 C), it looks like it'll be another pleasant day "working" in the yard - tree trimming is done - today is leaf raking and burning, emptying and refilling various jardinieres to prep for Mrs. Lizard's upcoming flourish of temporary gardening interest. Maybe shoveling the neighbors' cat shit out of my raised beds and pitching it back into their yards.

Now that I'm depressed, time for today's Breakfast Beer - not a newbie:



A pleasing English barleywine with which to begin the day. One of my all-time favorites.

 

I close out another thread.
I'm still here at Baird Bashamichi Taproom in Yokohama {which, to be earnest, is worth a jaunt from Tokyo} (There are non-JR open tickets from Keikyū railways, a private operator which many would otherwise encounter from Haneda Airport Terminal 3. One which would give you access to a number of intriguing tuna harvesting operations on the Miura peninsula and the restaurants serving the catch. Andrew Zimmern explored the peninsula on an episode of Bizarre Foods.)
My final beer tonight here at Baird Bashamichi Taproom is Bureiko Jikan Strong Golden Ale (9% ABV - 40cL). It is a solid brew which - it admits - does not taste as strong as it is.
If you are ever in Japan, Yokohama, and Bashamichi, and come upon the Baird Taproom herein, go up to the washroom on the second floor (it is unisexual). Note the sheet music on the wall above the facilities.
The "Texas Star" music was composed by somebody with the same name as my father. I got a photograph of this in 2014. He saw the photograph of it before passing away in October 2015.
