That's weird, almost seems like it might have been an archaic labeling law issue? Or maybe, back then, they didn't want to be associated with Miller Lite in consumers minds? I dunno, I've never seen that labeling

It was on their website, not the label.

Oh, weird. I just went to look at their website and it's noted as a "pilsener style beer" now

Yeah, saw that too just to double check.

It also looks like they're using different hops, so I'll definitely see if I can find some fresh six-packs.

That's the thing that elevates Enegren for me (even though I can only get them on the rare trip to the LA area), their quality is excellent, they make a range of classic lager styles, they're in 6x12 packs, readily accessible within their territory (my introduction was a 6 pack i took a chance on at a gas station near my hotel), and their prices are inline with the big craft brands. I really hope they find their way closer to me eventually.

I messaged Liquor Shed on Facebook asking if they were getting Summerfest.
They said nothing yet but they are sure they will get some and will message me.

    Me? I'm not so sure.

Move from one place with a bunch of old beer to another place with a bunch of old beer? Yeah, I'll get right on it.

Well... not at all my point. Lotta fresh beer out there, but jeeze -- it doesn't seem like you get a lot of regular distribution around you.

I complain about a lot of slow distro, but you mention a lot of no-shows that should be everywhere.

I would buy Enegren if it was available locally. I live in California.

Don't forget, Enegren ships throughout California if you wanted to order from them online.

    How pricey is their shipping?

    Thats ok,

All the Narwal and Bigfoot can stay out East.

Never had this summerfest beer but I might take a chance and see what all the hype is about. It must have some unicorn tears in it, right?

    Enjoy

I purchased a few cases early pandemic. I think shipping was around $20. Last I checked it was $40 so no thanks.

Pricey. I just mock ordered a case to see what shipping would cost to my home, about a 2 hour drive from Enegren. deanzaZZR is correct, $40. That's nuts.

I definitely judge the seasonal creep differently. Late spring and early summer, are, so far as beer is concerned, are similar. A crisp lager plays well in both. Late summer and early fall, on the other hand, are very different. Late summer where I am is still quite hot and sunny and not at all cool. And yet, the calendar and football season are suggesting I drink hoards and hoards of Oktoberfests. Oktoberfests are one of my favorite styles, but it just doesn’t feel right when it’s 80 degrees.

I completely agree - There's times all throughout the year that I just wanted a simple, easy drinking lager. Spring time, I'm open to lighter beers, wheat ales, pale ales, which will continue through summer but then fall time, I can't crack open an Oktoberfest when it's 80+ degree's out. Once the crisp air returns, then it all feels right!

Are people hating on SN? I’ve been out of the forums for years until a couple months ago. I love me some SN. I’m bummed I can’t get Kellerweis where I live and their old hemisphere series and estate IPA were some of my faves back in the day that seem to have disappeared, but they still have an awesome lineup. SNPA, torpedo, Bigfoot, it goes on and on
