Nice! Love it. Which one was that?

Also, can we return the glasses for a refund like in the past? Wasn't sure with Covid and all...

From the website it looks like glasses are a deposit still.

wife and kids out for the night and I’m working in town. Looking good for a visit tonight. Only downside is train home is 825 or 1045. Decisions decisions

@AlcahueteJ I saw an attendee give his glass back to the folks at the glass table. Didn't see deposit returned, but I'd only glanced in that direction. I'll be there again tonight. I can report back.

Yes, you can get your glass deposit back at the end of the evening. I did it last night!

Went last night and had some mixed results. Of maybe the 10 or so UK beers I tried (quarter pints) I dumped four of them. Weird thing is it wasn't even diacetyl bombs, but lots of acetone and acetaldehyde.
I wonder if changing the date caused them to rush the casks??
On the positive side, there were some very good ones...Harrogate nidd mild, 8 sail froglet, brew monster yeti, brew york tonkoko, buntingford oatmeal stout.

Two particularly pleasant beers were Nidd Mild (3.7% abv) from Harrogate of North Yorkshire and Highlander, a 4.8% abv bitter from Fyne Ales of Scotland. Didn't have a single American beer all night. Not a single "bad" beer and no butter bombs, and no unpleasant solvent flavors in the beers I had.

Nidd Mild was a favorite of mine. Went back for a full pour before the end. I stuck to all UK beers as well. Another great time at Nerax

That’s odd. The cellarmen there are well trained. I doubt they’d put something on that was off. They’ll wait to put something on, or worst case, not at all.

Are people friendly? My girlfriend is not a huge beer fan so Im thinking of going alone.

Highlander was probably my favorite from last night. Huge tea flavors coming through in that one.

Finished the night with a half pour of Highlander. The flavor was unique, and I just couldn’t place it, but I agree that tea is a good descriptor.

People are friendly and relaxed, but it’s 90% men. My wife has gone a couple of times in the past.

+1 to this... we're hitting up our first NERAX tomorrow and I need to do my pre-fest research. I'm surprised the lineup isn't posted anywhere (that I've been able to find, at least).

Beer list is never officially posted, but here's this year's full beer matrix from the program. As for what will be available during your session, you'll just have to find out when you get there.

Yup, they can’t guarantee a beer will be on. It’s live beer, it’s gonna do what it wants and may not be ready.
