What's funny is the past 2 yrs I carelessly hit up my meds shop on 4/20 not really knowing and then thinking wtf is this massive line all about Yes two times ha Not this year brother Suds and Buds today

 

Lol! I knocked that out earlier this week to. Although I know there's probably a ridiculous party going down there atm and would be smoked out immensely I'd rather not mess with that today. Enjoying myself at the command center with tasty beer and my music. (I caught that party last year) Actually surprised I haven't got a invite yet.

Just opened the last of three forgotten KBS variants I recently unearthed in my beer fridge. This one is pretty good too but in an unusual twist I prefer the aroma over the taste. Cheers!

Happy 4/20 BA.

Petal had a check up today and some annual vaccines to get. She may seem happy but that’s an anxiety pant. Lol.



We have returned, went to a relaxing stroll to kill some of that pent up anxiety energy she had. The obligatory, Sweetwater 420 I picked up on the way home was the accompaniment.


Back in the house I made her a little sundae with some Ben & Jerry dog ice cream, blueberries and a some crumbled dog cookies for being a good girl at the vet.




Her struggles are real, people…

Got a quick 2 mile walk in between raindrops, now for some Revolution Infinity Hero. 7% abv & 40 ibu's. A new year round IPA offering the best of both worlds, the tropical fruits of a hazy and the piney bitterness of a traditional IPA. I get pineapple, orange, and papaya with more bitterness than a hazy, but less than a traditional IPA. I do appreciate the firmer bitterness. Pretty good. Glad I bought a six pack. Was mainly going to get Summerfest when I saw this. I'll pop a Summerfest later. Meanwhile I'm going to enjoy this one.

 

I helped a friend with with an awning issue on her RV this morning…now at the pub having a beer - Murphy, a DIPA from Parish:



Dank tropical fruit. I’ve had this beer several times lately and I like this hazy! Cheers y’all!

 

1) Weihenstephaner Original Premium (5.1%): A German Helles with flavors of smooth Munich bread malt with some light honeysuckle. Smooth.
versus
2) Klosterbrauerei Andechs Vollbier Hell (4.8%): A German Helles with flavors of pale malts, earthy, grassy, German malts, and dry yeast. A relatively crisp and dry finish. (Mismatched the two beers blind)

Winner:
1) Weihenstephaner Original Premium: Two of my favorite German Helles Lagers. Thought I had them right blinded, but nope. Extremely similar. Weihenstephaner is slightly more smooth with bread malts and faint honey. Andechs has slightly more earthy Munich malt and dry yeast flavors. The complete opposite of what I found with them when I did these two back last fall. Each sip I sort of change my mind a bit on which I prefer. Cannot go wrong with either.
