Haven't had Sierra Nevada Summerfest in awhile. Glad it's back. For a limited time, that is.

 

My wife and I have a regular battle over the thermostat. I hate being cold. I grew up in a house in GA without central heating & air so I guess I got used to the heat & humidity. She hates being hot. She freezes me in the summer with the a/c and I bake her in the winter with the heat. Amazing we've survived 30 years of marriage.

 

I grew up in my grandmothers house in southern VA no central AC and we had the big oil drum outside for heat in the winter but that was expensive to fill. Used to have to go bleed the line every time and that was rare we got it filled. Those little space heaters did the job along with having the oven on and the door open. Winters weren’t bad, but the heat and humidity in her house was uncanny during the summer. There isn’t much you can do unlike the winter.

So I can deal with the heat, but prefer not to now that I have AC! The AC is on 68 most of year down here lol.

Wife and I always going behind each other on the therm here too LOL.

 

Stopped at the grocery store to grab some hot wings, lo and behold, Jai Alai on sale ($17.99/12) and canned 3/17/23…What?! We almost never see 4 week old Jai Alai any more, and on sale??? I grabbed the last 12/pk:



My romance with this beer is rekindled! Drinking on my 88° balcony and setting up the outdoor fan for some cooling reinforcement…Cheers y’all!

Another Trop on the porch with the dogs. Kept seeing a wasp flying around the balcony, it kept coming back. Finally opened a folding chair it was swarming realized a nest was starting… had to defuse that situation… luckily nothing inside.




About to go make some dinner for the kid.
