Lost Forty Good Weather Cold IPA. Not a style that has really wowed me, 4 more to drink after this

 

Watching The Mandalorian and working through the unusual tuning in the key of B for this song.

 

I'd love to send you a small box of local DFW lagers I really enjoy. I have a good feeling you'd enjoy them but would still like to see what you think being a fellow lager enthusiast. Maybe we can make that happen sometime if you'd like. Just 4-6 pints something easy n small. If nay no biggie. No hurt feelings at all.

The rest of the Genny. More dark pretzel skin notes on this second half of the 24oz'er. Really interesting.



Yet, to finalize 420, I must add a smooth closer and that would be one of my beers of the week or so-Vitus

 

One more in me. American Solera Tulsa Pipe IPA. Peace out LNBAers!

 

Start tomorrow off with this, it is a bit typical jazz vocal fodder but it has a freshness that is hard to describe.



Just finished my review of Vitus- 4.55 overall, I think the highest I have scored a beer, but have to check.

Add this to your fun listening list. Too bad the recording is pushed a bit on the low notes, can clip some dacs.

I'm joining you after a fashion, as what I picked out didn't quite meet my expectations and I'm a bit sad I could've gone with something previously imbibed, but reliably tasty.

Strap Tank - Honey Bandit

Canned yesterday in a crowler

Poured at fridge temp into a nonic glass.

Poured darker golden almost coppery with a thin white head, second pour of the 32oz was essentially the same. 3.75

Lovely malt and honey aroma. Really quite something and delightful, but that was the best part of this beer. 4

Earthy raw honey sweetness and some metallic notes. The honey was good but wasn't enough to distract from the clear metallic overtones and lingering quality. 3.25

Fairly light and drinkable, perhaps a touch of boozy warmth even though it's only 5%. 3.5

Overall I was expecting more regarding the style and how reliable ST's brews are, though I want to give it another try - likely on draft to see if anything changes. 3.5

 

Just downgraded my review of Hacker Pschorr Weissbier. Canned June 2022 with June 2023 best date. Worty as all get out and not so appealing, struggling to get through a tall can. Tastes like many worty n/a beers at this age. I'll try returning it tomorrow, it sucks!

But I am enjoying British jazz artist Alfa Mist. New album tomorrow.
