The Dingo kid gifted me this beer like two years ago. It says, “drink fresh,” but it sat warm in a closet until now. That said… I’ll be damned, it’s still pretty good. Dionysus Currantly Noir Sour Ale:

Drinking Rince Cochon Triple which would be a first for me. Honestly I haven’t heard of it until now.

A tall can, 500ml and a strong 9,5% ABV. This is much more bitter than the original Rince cochon.

Of course I wasn’t expecting this to be Westmalle or Karmeliet or in their league. I still like it, it’s not as subtle or well balanced as those two but still palatable:

    Santé!

Sun already up in twilight indicates it should be warmer, but it's under freezing yet again. Hoping the plants that have bloomed hang on. Speaking of hanging on, this "Caramel Popcorn Ale" canned September 8th has held on well, like our VB Opener this morning @RaulMondesi 's sour.

Had jazz in mind and selected the appropriate pint glass pairing, but will audible to join @tolar111 and @Shanex and continue with two chill selections for this early morning hour from my favorite band growing up and forever favorite rock/metal/music band from this era. Thank you for joining us and have a Great Day and Great Beer & Music Day!

Morning, BAs! Joining @DoctorZombies with some FBS today (last bottle on hand).

I tried my hand at home-made wake-up wraps, using some FB Reels/TikTok "hack" ... and yeah, it didn't quite work. Still, eggs, cheese, and bacon (with or without the tortilla) are always going to pleasantly fill the tummy.

    Cheers!

Thought I'd tried this before but actually haven't.

    Founders - Breakfast Stout

Poured into a nonic glass at about fridge temp, but letting warm up.

Pours dark black with a tall almost gusher tan head. 4

Aroma is big and strong, roasty coffee and a touch of sweetness. 4.25

Again, strong and just bitter enough black coffee, some dark and roasty malts and lingering slightly bitter finish. 4.5

Smooth body and very easily drinkable for the higher abv, no sign of booze or burn, but a bit warming in the chest as I keep sipping. 4.25

Awesome breakfast and thanks for the experience @Whyteboar!

    Hey BA's

    Happy chilly Wednesday!

Sometimes - even in weird "off seasons" - I feel like a pumpkin brew - found I have some of these tasty fellas in the cellar - yum

    look: 3.5 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.75

Clear, light gold hued body; sparse carbonation; one-finger thick head, white and somewhat dense, lasting. Balanced aroma of bready malt and herbal hop smells. Light flavors; mild cereal grain malt note with a moderate hop bitterness; a bit of spicy, peppery hop flavor; clean. Medium body; lager smooth; nice finishing dryness.

A decent if unremarkable lager offering.
