The food and beer list look incredible. This will be a must do for me next year.

Would love to hear your thoughts of OF Grand Cru and DB Anabasis.

    Cheers!

Grand Cru was fantastic. Definitely distinct to me compared to normal OF’s. B2 DBA I thought was a little sweeter than B1 but still awesome barrel quality. Absolute .

The event was incredible. TWCP Derivation was drinking so well. D13 still holding up great. Was super cool to be able to do B1 and B2 OWK side by side.

The trip to Side Project (I guess technically I was visiting St. Louis) was everything I could have hoped for and more. Visited the Side Project umbrella numerous times and just drank unbelievable stuff. Visited a couple other breweries for a little diversity (and to kill time until SP opened) and all our food stops turned out very delicious. Here's what I managed to drink while there:

Le Saisonnier (Blend #5) - Tap
Biere du Pays (Blend #10) - Tap
    Quince (Blend #1) - 375mL bottle
DB Derivation (Willett Port 2022) - 375mL bottle
    La Fosse 2022 - 375mL bottle
    Smooth (Blend #2) - Tap
    DB Derivation (Noboleis Blanton's Port 2022) - 375mL bottle
Tete de Cuvee (Vintage 2020) - 750mL bottle
    Continuance (Blend #3) - 750mL bottle
    Derivation (Blend #16) - 750mL bottle
DB Derivation (Brandy Port) - 375mL bottle
    Derivation (Blend #17) - 375mL bottle
    BBT (Van Winkle 2023) - 375mL bottle
Coffee Crawl Base Stout 2023 - Tap

The other big highlight was a jog over to Perennial (won a bottle on Oznr of Jane Says had to pickup) and got a pour of BA Abraxas, Sump Variant and split a bottle of STLTL.

Amazing trip and can't wait to get back to St. Louis. Was hoping for Anabasis while there but did not happen so I'll have to keep chasing that one. The non-stouts/bws I had were really good so may go after more packages, despite not liking the extras, to get a little more SP in my life. Hopefully can find a proxy pretty easily for any I secure.

Did anyone get to try OLR Kriek when Allison was preview tasting it at the Cellar? Debating how many to buy :grimacing:

Caught the end of the DB Anabasis samples at the cellar. What an insane beer.

We had essentially two and a half days and I feel we made the most out of them. Visited The Cellar twice on Saturday afternoon/evening because we decided after dinner we weren't done yet.

interesting. Last I knew maplewood wouldn’t allow outside businesses/trucks. That’s what limited the food options at the invitational if I remember correctly.

Two month notice on garage release and bribing folks with lobster? Gonna be a shit show. I may have to check it out.
