    My ode to mild

    That sudsy, soapiness that you only get from an English ale.
    That taste of roasted barley that quenched Spitfire pilots thirsts and washed down miners lunches.
    That drink of heritage that sits
    in the back room with the more elderly gentleman
    their youth all spent and their pipes now unlit
    stubbed out by bureaucracy.
    There are times to be fierce and times to drink mild.

    look: 4.25 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4.25

    Clear, light gold body; light carbonation; thick, white head, billowy and slightly creamy texture; cascading rings of foam inside the glass. Outstanding aroma of light malt and tropical fruit; honeydew melon. Clean taste; light malt base; spicy and herbal hop flavor; moderate hop bitterness; a bit of cracker and biscuit; white pepper. Medium body; crisp with a light coarseness; mainly dry mouthfeel overall.

    Ex Novo offers a well-crafted, nicely balanced, and very tasty west coast style India pale ale. It is on par with the best examples of the style.

    Howdy all...

    A little post-run ham & cheese croissant from our local Nightingale Bakery (which is the best food thing to happen in this town in the last... 10-15 years), and a bit of a recovery Zero G beverage. Might take it easy today. Busy (running) weekend ahead, but nice to finally commit to this "thing" on my mind for the next 3-4 months.

    Okay, this is a little dangerous. I've been fortunate enough to get to know the brewer here at Good Word - Todd DiMatteo. Super good dude. He keeps bringing me beer faster than I can drink it. Lol!

    Cask Ale offerring - Bad Tenant 3.9% English Pale Ale. This is one of only six cask ale certified by Cask Marque brewpubs in the US.

    Wow, this is one robust American Lager compared to big domestic offerings. Actually reminds me bit of Anchor Steam, even though its not a steam beer.

    Tip Top there BAs! Thanks again @RaulMondesi for today's thread. 47F w steady rain here so a perfect beer day for sure. I totally forgot I had this can and had already added it to our system along w notes and even uploaded a can image...Ha! Pulpit Rock What A Cutie IPA. A pleasure to rate & review as it is incredible.
    On a side note, my sleep pattern (if it can be called that) is wobbling around and I slept like a mummy last night and had this vividly colorful dream, which is not unusual, and in it our founder, leader and big papa bear @Todd showed up at my house (Surprise!) and wanted to try a rare beer that I obtained called Philanthropic DIPA from Phantasm Brewing. So he was following me around my shack as I was searching high & low, out in the garage for this 1 can but then I awoke right as I found it! Dang! Full color, laffs Todd was wearing a brown leather aviators bomber jacket, jeans and a BA cap and he really wouldn't settle for any other brew than that 1 rare can. Pretty cool dream as dreams go. Big ol' cheers!!

    Oh man I'm jealous of the day off. That sounds like a sexy time of you ask me. Better be getting your cold temperature bottom fermented beverages on properly. I'm waiting on the delivery coming with the Mrs this afternoon.

    Happens to work down the street from Odd Muse. Lucky me! Video calling picking beers is the future.
