Mentioned in an email to LC that CSV nitro cans are on deck. Not much more in terms of details and more of a heads up (and an exciting one at that).

 

Aroma is one of my favorite things about CSV, hopefully the nitro wouldn't totally mute that as it often does.

 

I don’t think this got answered unless I missed it, but I’m curious as well. I saw here that LC purchases happened so does anyone from LC know and or was it not confirmed one way or another? Thanks.

OLR Kriek available to go

 

Just finished off a bottle of Soleil. It's really great. Didn't seem to get much attention on this thread but it stayed away from super sour territory and the passion fruit and peach both manage to pop. I was nervous about the acidity so I only bought 1 bottle and I definitely wish I had another

agree here too. i feel like soleil, the LOAM series, Red Plum du Ble have been really excellent fruited sours where the acidity and sourness is kept well in check.

 

Opened Loam Norton yesterday and really enjoyed it. Acidity was present but not prominent. I can get behind this trend.

Thoughts after having them side by side?

 

They are completely different beers, but equally as tasty. Anabasis has more barrel and dbvsoj is slightly sweeter

 

OLR Kriek is fucking fantastic. So good that I’m debating buying a couple more bottles on top of the 3 I already have

right on. i have not looked at the to-go menu from any location in a while.

also glad to hear it is good. i'll be honest, when i heard that there would be no reg OLR for OLRK instead i was a little bummed.

 

Regular OLR is the shiznit. I didn't know there wouldn't be a release this year. I guess it's time to dip into the cellar and bring back old vintages.

 

pretty sure that’s what the OLRK email said, unfortunately. oh well here’s to hoping the kriek iteration is as enjoyable (although i know my personal preference would be no fruit)
