Sometimes words aren’t enough. Sometimes words are too much. Either way, when you have a beer, who cares? Brouwerij West Popfuji Pilsner:

Good day all, pre lunch beer today is La Goudale.

Something I recently heard about them is the term Goudale appear to come from whether English or Dutch and even in French you can pronounce it « Good ale » which it is.

Lunch will be chicken and potatoes and right afterwards we’re going to walk a bit this beast  in the woods like here several days ago:

    Cheers!

Enjoyed catching up on yesterday's thread, a few shout outs:
    • Congratulations on your 13th BA Anniversary Ian @superspak !
    • Love following your beer travels @DoctorZombies !
    • Thank you @cjgiant for mentioning Rick Beato's Tribute so I can watch today.
    • One of the primary reasons I backed off of "The" MLB is the greedy money grab / expanded playoffs. It was the one professional North American sport where the regular season meant something. Now largely it's a 162 game exhibition season like the rest of the leagues.
Usually skip a day in between strong beers (BA barleywine yesterday), but it's supposed to warm up starting tomorrow, so called an audible.

For a bit of good MLB news, Billy Hamilton was called up yesterday. He is still a truly one of a kind player in today's game, incredibly excited to watch and possibly my current favorite "White Sox" player after the team discarded Jose Abreu, who I hope is able to win a World Series with the Astros before retiring.

    Welcome Back Billy!

    Good morning all.

Still in Whitby, popped into the local brewery for a couple. Lovely view of the abbey from the garden.

Smugglers Gold by Whitby Brewery. A golden ale.

    Cheers!

Good morning/day BAs! And thanks @ChicagoJ for the shout out. Morning joe - Guinness Foreign Extra:

Poured at 50°. Roasty. It’s 48° outside and the strong wind makes it feel like 42°…I’m drinking inside the RV this morning. I’ve got to unwind things here, then move along. I’ll be back later. Cheers and have a great day y’all!

I need to cut back on my morning coffee consumption so I'm doing my best to find alternatives for my dark, roasty and toasty flavor cravings. This is an excellent substitute. Thank you @not2quick for sending me the #1 Dark Euro Lager out there!

Day 5 of the journey, brewery number 7 - 12 Bones Brewing…a lunch flight - Rad Rad City Lager with orange and grapefruit (collab with Petty Thieves; Secret Third Thing pilsner; Coastin’ WC IPA; and Eternal Return WC DIPA ( collab with Burial):

All are average. The IPA has very little bitterness and no pine. The DIPA has some bitterness but drinks fruity and has no pine. One and done, but get the bbq, some of the best in Asheville. Cheers from Hendersonville, NC!
