Good morning/day/evening BAs! Breaking camp this coolish 58° morning…taking a coffee break - “The Wolf” BBA Imperial Stout from 3 Sheeps Brewing, Sheboygan WI:



Canned 2/17/23. Poured at 54°. Courtesy of @GreenBayBA. A non adjuncty Impy Stout that impresses, well balanced between barrel and base notes. Bourbon nose/tongue; semi sweet caramel, oaky bourbon/vanilla, bittersweet dark chocolate. Smooth non-adjuncty feel. A whisper of warmth from the 12.5% abv. Less boozy than the bottle I drank in 2019. Great stuff - Thanks Micah!

Good day BAs! Thanks @mushroomcloud for starting today's thread - a Belgium beer bar in Tokyo, no less! Nippon is looking more and more like a bucket list addition.
Looks like yet yet another mild and clear day here on the NW PA tundra - got to add another layer of paint to the shortened legs on my newest raised bed - was going to set it up yesterday but found it was truly a "raised" bed. Oh well, thats why I've got a SKIL saw.
Today will be spent buying plants and (hopefully) planting them - one of my nieces in TX is already picking tomatoes!

Glad I got a hit this time!

 

Not a problem! All our tastes vary on various interlocking cycles - a beer I enjoy today may seem disgusting tomorrow - the object (at least for me) is to try new flavors and styles - who knows, I may find a new favorite, i.e. the Fremont brew I reviewed today. Thanks again Ryan - great brew! It must be pleasing not to live in a beer desert!

 

You can ask @jonphisher...I live in an incredible area for beer lovers.

 

I want to come back…I’d recommend any beer love visit Ballard one day, or Seattle; I loved being there for the few days we had to explore.

Amstel Bier.
It says pilsener on the can, but it is a H**n*k*n sort of lager (and Amstel has been Heineken for ages). Probably because beer normally is called 'pils' in Amsterdam. Not great and not bad just good value for money beer.
