    Beer Temple 10 year anniversary

Top tier event. Wonderful beers, wonderful range of styles, perfect weather, joyous crowd, fun random free bottle pours, etc, etc.

Good job beer temple crew. Great first 10 years - excited for your continued success in the next 10.

I've got to give a shoutout to Flipside Brewery... Erik is putting out some great stuff and a variety of things. Food is awesome as well. They've got a stout in barrels right now that they'll be doing bottles of. He's the past Co founder of 350, opened up in the same old spot. You gotta check them out. In Tinley Park across from Open Bottle.

The Italian pils was pretty darn good. IPA was very old school but it a good way. Alpha king esque with a little Citra on top

Rolled the dice and spent this afternoon working while at Pilot Project. They’ve always been hit or miss for me (mostly miss), but it’s a 15 minute walk and I really like the space. Drank a few from Flora Brewing, pretty solid offerings. I especially enjoyed their Fun With Flagships, a west coast ipa very much in the vein of modern wcipa that I’ve been drinking lately when in the Pacific Northwest for work. Clear, juicy profile (not overly saccharin or bitter). I’ll be keeping my eye on those folks.

I just cracked a 2021 Rey Cuvee, and it is offensively sour. Woof.

I have one, I'm worried about it now.

Speaking of Cruz Blanca, I tried La Tormenta (imperial pineapple ale aged in Barbados rum barrels with canella and spices) last weekend, and I absolutely loved it. I was saving it for last in my mixed 4 pack because I wasn't sure I would like it at all, but wow. Tastes like a boozy pineapple upside down cake, yet somehow not overly sweet - at least not to my trash palate. I'm going to have to stop for some more next time I'm around Randolph.

I really enjoy CB’s barrel program. Dares to be different and that is fun!

We did the tasting before Prop Day and La Tormenta was easily one of my favorites.

Probably not the right forum to use but this is kinda a catch all forum.

Is there any BA here who would like a free ticket to Emperor 6/23 at The Aragon? I can no longer go and just need an email or phone number to transfer the ticket. Send a message if interested.

Should be a wild show. Wish I could go, but I exhausted all of my metal related family leave back in May.

Considering you were in on sour cherry Maman, that's really saying something

Cracked mine last night, and it was sour. Not 2015 BCBBW sour, but too sour to enjoy.

I tasted a fantastic beer from Stray Barrel Project at the More Fest on Saturday. The URL they had on the bottle doesn't seem to work. The guy told me it was north of Rockford. Anyone know anything about them?

It's a dude from Pig Minds and a dude from Saint Errant. The beer is being aged and brewed at Pig Minds if the address is to be believed.

The dude from pig minds is formerly of Commonwealth. Seems like a collaborative project between him and Brent.

I expect it’ll be a real nice program. I wouldn’t let the pig mind reputation scare you away if you love big stouts.
