    Thanks, @RaulMondesi for ringing in Friday with your midnight snack! It might have only just turned Friday in California, but you guys are living in the past, man! The working week is done here, and beer beckons!

    This one is XPA Splicer from Stockade Brew Co, who hail from a place called Goulburn, which is an hour north of Canberra and a couple south of Sydney, so I expect you all know exactly where it is... :wink:

    Found this hiding in the back of the beer fridge - 2015 Stone Brewing Imperial Russian Stout. Fabulous beer - like catching up with an old friend! Dark chocolate, coffee, dark malts and piney hops giving a nice bitterness. Really enjoyable, and a nice change up from some of the sweeter stouts / imperial stouts that I've been enjoying recently. Happy Friday BA's!!

    Zundert 8 Tripel.
    Zundert is the other Dutch Trappist, besides La Trappe. The monks at Zundert had help from their brothers from La Trappe, switching from agriculture to beer production some years ago. Still a unique tripel. They make a Quad too.

    The town of Zundert is the birthplace of Vincent van Gogh too. Not much to see besides the house where he was born. The paintings are in Amsterdam.

    G'day all!

    Some sprinkles of rain are very persistent. When will I get to mow??

    This was bottled January 31st, sat on a warm shelf, and I opened one immediately and put the rest in the fridge. Very sweet brew..milk sugar? I reckon that a colder bottle would fit my palate better.

    I used to think Germany was the only place where you can get a McBeer. But there about 10 countries where you can have alcohol with a BigMac.
    Heineken probably pair with Mc food in some good way :wink:

    ...a cold, rainy morning, so holed- up in the 'Fortress of Solitude' and working on beer notes and photos for all the beers I've accumulated over the past week...the 303 is one that I purchased a few weeks ago...good day to listen to the rain, watch the lesser goldfinch and Western tanagers flying about and hearing the hummingbirds...the retired lifestyle is blessed with moments like this...
